More celebrities are joining the cast of Disney’s upcoming Home Alone reboot. Deadline reports that Kenan Thompson joined the cast alongside Ally Maki (Toy Story 4) and Chris Parnell (Archer). They are joining the growing list of actors in the reboot. Those previously announced include Archie Yates, Rob Delaney and Ellie Kemper.
The Home Alone reboot was announced last year when Bob Igar announced classic films like Night at the Museum, Diary of a Wimpy Kid and Cheaper by the Dozen will have a fresh face on Disney’s streaming platform.
The upcoming Home Alone reboot will stream exclusively on Disney+. Not much has been revealed about the plot regarding the holiday film. So far it’s been that established that Archie Yates will play Max, a troublesome kid who has a great connection with adults, who goes to war with two parents who aren’t his (Kemper and Delaney).
Time will tell how Archie Yates’ Max will compare to Macauley Culkin’s Kevin McCallister. In the meantime, we look forward to seeing the triumphant return to this holiday movie franchise. Seeing a modern twist to the classic franchise might help this reboot find success on Disney+. We will provide updates when more information becomes available about the movie!
