When seeking out lunch options at Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom, guests shouldn’t forget to look past table service options and check some of the best views at the park. I’m talking about Sleepy Hollow, that quick service gem that serves up waffles beneath the beauty of Cinderella castle itself. Thankfully, it has now reopened and with new social distancing measures, is offering a menu worth stopping for.
We stopped in for lunch and immediately noticed that the Sweet-and-Spicy Chicken Waffle Sandwich was still on the menu. It’s a classic, easy to carry, and packed with slaw and flavor. It’s $10.49 before tax and it comes with house-made chips. Other options include a foot-long corn dog and a fresh fruit waffle with Nutella.
To drink, we chose something frosty: a slushy lemonade. It’s $5.49 and a tart but refreshing choice to help with the heat of the day as well as the heat from the Chicken Waffle Sandwich. It was an excellent way to cool down!
Lines mark the distance of 6 feet while waiting in line so that customers can stay safe as they order. Patrons sit with a table between each group, and the area wasn’t crowded when we stopped in, so social distancing was easy. We were able to find a table in the shade with a beautiful view of the castle to enjoy along with our meal. Who doesn’t love Cinderella castle?
When your Magic Kingdom reservation comes up, don’t forget to grab a bite at Sleepy Hollow! Between the delicious, satisfying food and the fantastic scenery, you won’t regret it.
