Cinderella Castle in Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World is going to have some more changes soon. The castle recently had a full refurbishment where the pastel colors of the castle were dialed up to a royal blue and bright pink. Now Disney has filed a permit for additional work on the castle.

The permit is with Icarus Exhibit Inc. to perform “General Construction” on Cinderella Castle. Icarus Exhibits Inc. is a common construction partner for Disney, having been contracted for Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind in EPCOT, as well as work in Disney’s Hollywood Studios’s latest land, Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge.
There are no specifics regarding the construction. Considering Walt Disney World’s 50th anniversary is next year, we’re wondering if the Castle might get a makeover for the celebration. For the 25th anniversary, the Cinderella Castle was transformed into a giant pink birthday cake.

At the moment, Disney has not formally announced any additional changes to Cinderella Castle for the 50th anniversary, but hopefully, this permit is a hint that something even more magical is coming our way.
