Disney After Hours Just Got Even Better With Three Major Attraction Additions

Disney has confirmed that three recently refreshed attractions are now part of the Disney After Hours lineup: Rock ’n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets, Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, and Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin. The announcement means guests attending select After Hours events will have even more opportunities to experience some of Walt Disney World’s newest updates with shorter wait times and smaller crowds.

The timing is especially notable because all three attractions have recently undergone major changes. Rock ’n’ Roller Coaster reopened in May with an all-new Muppets storyline, replacing the longtime Aerosmith theme. Guests now race through Hollywood alongside Dr. Teeth and the Electric Mayhem for a chaotic rock-and-roll adventure that feels right at home with the beloved Muppet crew.

Over at Magic Kingdom, Big Thunder Mountain Railroad recently emerged from an extensive refurbishment that included new track, refreshed trains, restored scenery, and enhanced show elements throughout the attraction. Disney also lowered the height requirement to 38 inches, making the wildest ride in the wilderness accessible to even more families.

Meanwhile, Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin returned earlier this year with a collection of upgrades, including redesigned ride vehicles, enhanced blasters, improved scoring displays, a new robot character named Buddy, and updated on-ride photos that now display guests’ final scores.

Disney After Hours events remain one of the best ways to enjoy Walt Disney World attractions with minimal waits. The separately ticketed events are held on select nights at Magic Kingdom, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and EPCOT, and include complimentary popcorn, ice cream novelties, and select bottled beverages. Guests can also enter the park before the official event start time, giving them even more value for their ticket.
