Disney Springs Marketplace Co-Op Refreshes Its Indoor Shopping Space
Disney Springs is constantly in motion, and if you’ve strolled through the Marketplace district recently, you’ve likely noticed that the retail landscape is shifting yet again. Inside the Marketplace Co-Op, a major internal makeover is officially underway, with a massive perimeter of floor-to-ceiling black construction curtains taking over a central section of the store.

The Marketplace Co-Op has long served as Disney’s innovative retail incubator—a space designed to host a rotating lineup of boutique shops, specialized test concepts, and unique pop-ups. Over the years, it has been home to fan-favorite spaces like WonderGround Gallery, D-Tech On Demand, Disney Centerpiece, and specialized showcases for Disney Cruise Line and runDisney.
As seen in the photo above, Disney has completely cordoned off a substantial portion of the interior showroom floor. While the rest of the building remains open—including the adjacent Tren-D boutique and perimeter merchandise displays—the center section is completely hidden from guest view.

Whenever the black curtains go up inside the Co-Op, it usually signals one of two things: a structural layout refresh to update the building’s infrastructure, or the arrival of a brand-new merchandise collection and themed storefront.
Disney has not yet officially announced which specific sub-boutique is getting a makeover or what new concept might be moving into the space. However, given the massive footprint of the curtain walls, the interior footprint is getting a significant layout adjustment.

This internal refurbishment lines up with a wave of retail and dining updates currently sweeping across Disney Springs. From the recent closure of legacy spots to major storefront remodels—like the upcoming relocation and massive overhaul of the neighboring Ghirardelli Soda Fountain & Chocolate Shop—the Marketplace side of the property is gearing up for a fresh look ahead of the busy travel seasons.
If you are planning a shopping trip to Disney Springs soon, don’t worry! You can still enter the Marketplace Co-Op to browse a great selection of apparel, home goods, and tech accessories. You’ll just have to navigate around the temporary indoor construction zone while Disney Imagineers work their magic behind the scenes.
What brand-new boutique concept or theme would you love to see move into the Marketplace Co-Op next?
