One of my all-time favorite things to buy at Universal’s Wizarding World of Harry Potter is their hot butterbeer. If you’ve been to the one in Hollywood you know this is served year-round, but in Orlando, it’s only seasonal. This delicious butterscotch flavored drink is so amazing and we found a perfect recipe and it’s just like magic. This hot butterbeer recipe will have you feeling like you’re right at Hogwarts, no robes or wands required.

Hot Butterbeer Recipe
Ingredients:
- 1 Liter of Cream Soda
- 2-3 tbsp butter
- 2-3 tbsp brown sugar
- 1 cup heavy whipping cream
- 4-5 Werther’s originals
Directions:
- Put the cream soda in a pot to boil.
- In a separate pot melt the butter and brown sugar together until combined.
- Pour into the boiling cream soda (cream soda must be boiling or the mixture will solidify)
- Add the heavy whipping cream.
- Add Werther’s Originals and stir continuously until combined.
- Serve hot.

This is really one of the most accurate at-home recipes I’ve made. Enjoy it while cozying up and having a Harry Potter marathon. Hot butterbeer is sure to warm you right up and bring some magic home. For the witches and wizards of age, you can even add a shot of Butterscotch Schnapps. If you’re loving this Harry Potter themed recipe you can also find regular Butterbeer here or even one for some Polyjuice Potion.
