Chris Evans Wants To Star Alongside Chris Hemsworth In A Buddy Comedy. The Avengers: Endgame star wants to be in a new film along with his co-star, Chris Hemsworth, that steps away from the superhero suits, and pursue roles that push new boundaries.
One of the best things to hear about two of your favorite actors/actresses is that they get along both on and off camera. It’s even better when there is a true friendship beneath the surface view of said actors/actresses. One example is the nearly decade long friendship between two of the original Avengers actors, Chris Evans and Chris Hemsworth.
The two Chris’s have been known to have a good time when filming together, but recently, Hemsworth stated that he and Evans have been separated on purpose when doing press events because they tend to “screw around and none of it is on topic.”
In a comment to Variety, Evans echoed Hemsworth’s remarks and took it one step further by expressing interest in acting together in another movie that has nothing to do with their known roles as Captain America/Steve Rogers and Thor, or anything to do with Marvel, really.
“We had too much fun together, and truly like kids in school, we were separated because we couldn’t get sh*t done,” Evans said of his relationship with Hemsworth. He also talked about his own ideas about the next movie they should do together, “I would love to do one of those ’80s buddy comedies, where we could shed the characters we are known for.”
Hemsworth seems to be one step ahead of Evans in the comedy department, and has taken the role of Thor in a more comical approach than when we first met the God of Thunder, as well as taken more humorous roles in other films such as Ghostbusters, and in his upcoming film Men in Black: International, where he co-stars with fellow Thor: Ragnarok star, Tessa Thompson (Valkyrie).
Would you like to see Chris Evans and Chris Hemsworth partner up for a new movie? Are you shocked by their friendship, or that they are required to be separated during media events/interviews? Let us know in the comments what your favorite moments are on and ‘off’ camera between the two Chris’s, and what kind of story you would want them to tell! We would love to hear your thoughts!
