Archie’s Scare Pig Pizza Replacing PizzeRizzo in Monstropolis at Disney’s Hollywood Studios
PizzeRizzo may be headed for the big pizza party in the sky, but Disney is keeping the ovens hot when Monstropolis takes over this corner of Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Disney has announced Archie’s Scare Pig Pizza, a new quick-service restaurant serving up what is being billed as the “top-rated pizza in Monstropolis.” The restaurant will be themed around Archie, the lovable six-legged Fear Tech mascot that Monsters University students have a habit of “borrowing.”

Archie’s Scare Pig Pizza will take over the former PizzeRizzo location, giving the longtime restaurant another major transformation. The building originally opened as Toy Story Pizza Planet in 1995 before becoming the Muppets-themed PizzeRizzo in 2016. While we are definitely going to miss Rizzo and that wonderfully ridiculous upstairs wedding reception, Archie seems more than ready to carry on the Hollywood Studios pizza tradition, with a few extra legs to help him do it.
The restaurant is just one piece of the dining lineup planned for Monstropolis. Nearby, guests will also find the Monsters University Alumni Club, while Harryhausen’s will bring the famous restaurant from Monsters, Inc. to life with a new menu and an Audio-Animatronics sushi chef showing off some serious multi-tentacle kitchen skills. Disney says the Harryhausen’s menu will include more than sushi and will be unlike anything else currently offered at Walt Disney World.

Disney also confirmed that portions of Monstropolis will begin welcoming humans in 2027. Along with Archie’s Scare Pig Pizza and Harryhausen’s, the land will feature the Glob Theater with a new “Welcome to Monstropolis” show starring Mike and Sulley, the Scareporium merchandise location, and an original song from Disney Legend Randy Newman. The massive Monsters, Inc. door coaster remains under construction as the city continues taking shape at Hollywood Studios.
