After-Hours Fireworks Testing to Take Place at EPCOT on September 23rd

Tonight there will be fireworks testing on World Showcase Lagoon at EPCOT. Testing is expected to conclude prior to midnight that evening. During this test, fireworks will be launched inside the park.

Guests staying at nearby resorts are being advised that they might hear loud noises from their rooms during this test.

Testing usually takes place before a new fireworks show debuts. Epcot is set to be launching a new fireworks show called “Harmonious” but an official start date hasn’t been announced for the new show. However, permits have been filed for the show and work is well underway.

Nighttime spectaculars have not returned to Walt Disney World due to current COVID-19 health and safety guidelines. Could this test mean a nighttime show will return soon?
