The worlds of Star Wars and Fortnite are colliding inside Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and guests can now turn a flight aboard Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run into a mission that continues after leaving Batuu. We stopped by Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge today and spotted a QR code just before the attraction’s pre-show entrance inviting guests to accept Hondo Ohnaka’s special “Smugglers Gambit” mission and earn rewards in Fortnite.

Getting started is handled through the My Disney Experience app. After scanning the QR code and accepting the mission, guests are instructed to board Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run as usual and collect crates during their smuggling run. The attraction itself remains largely the same, but guests participating in the Fortnite mission get an extra bit of Hondo along the way. During our flight, Hondo popped in to remind those who had accepted his special mission to make sure they were capturing their crates. And in true smuggler fashion, more crates mean more rewards.
Disney says guests who accept the mission can be detected using a MagicBand, MagicBand+, or an eligible mobile device with Bluetooth enabled. Guests using a phone should be logged into the My Disney Experience app, have the appropriate Bluetooth permissions enabled on iOS or location permissions on Android, keep the device out of Low Power or Power Saver Mode, and bring it aboard the attraction. Only one person in a ride vehicle needs to accept the mission to activate the special version of the experience for the group, but each guest who wants to receive their own Fortnite rewards should accept the mission individually. There is no additional charge to participate beyond valid theme park admission, and an Epic Games account is not required to experience the special mission on the attraction.
After completing our flight, we received a message confirming “Mission Success” and directing us to link our MyDisney and Epic Games accounts to claim the Fortnite rewards. The experience then confirms that the special Millennium Falcon mission has been completed and provides a “Claim Rewards” option. An Epic Games account is required to actually redeem the Fortnite items, so guests who do not already have one can create one after their park visit.
The rewards extend beyond simply flying the Falcon. Guests can earn the Forsworn Trooper Outfit by helping Hondo with his special mission and continuing the experience on the Smugglers Gambit island in Fortnite. Players can also visit the Smugglers Gambit island using Island Code 7474-2686-2725 to receive an exclusive Loading Screen reward. Disney is also offering a Carbonite Fishstick Back Bling for linking MyDisney and Epic Games accounts through October 31, 2026.

It is a clever crossover that makes the physical attraction part of a larger gaming experience instead of simply putting Fortnite branding inside Galaxy’s Edge. Guests still get their familiar run aboard the fastest hunk of junk in the galaxy, but accepting Hondo’s side hustle before boarding gives all those crates a new purpose once the mission moves from Batuu to Fortnite.
