Taylor Swift Joins the Playlist as Alien Swirling Saucers Debuts New Lilypad Soundtrack

Alien Swirling Saucers is spinning to a brand-new beat at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and one of the songs on the updated playlist comes from an unexpected artist. With Lilypad from Toy Story 5 taking over as the attraction’s new DJ, Disney has refreshed the soundtrack with original music, remixed Toy Story favorites, and an instrumental version of Taylor Swift’s “I Knew It, I Knew You.”

Guests hear one randomized song during each ride, giving repeat trips around the saucer floor a chance to sound a little different. The new lineup includes two original tracks created for Lilypad, “Pizza Planet Promo” and “Spin It Back, Lilypad,” along with new remixes of “You’ve Got a Friend in Me” and “We Belong Together.” The complete playlist also features “I Can’t Let You Throw Yourself Away,” “Hay Un Amigo En Mi,” “Partysaurus Rex Anthem,” “Woody’s Roundup,” and “Buzz Beats!”

There are some fun deep cuts mixed into Lilypad’s playlist. “Partysaurus Rex Anthem” draws from the 2012 Toy Story Toons short and incorporates remixed Rex dialogue, while “Buzz Beats!” goes full Space Ranger with a spacey track built around familiar Buzz Lightyear quotes. Then there is the Swift surprise, with “I Knew It, I Knew You” appearing as an instrumental track among all that Toy Story music.

The new soundtrack is part of Lilypad’s larger arrival at Alien Swirling Saucers. A giant version of the frog-shaped character now sits outside the attraction, playing music for guests passing through Toy Story Land and offering several interactive activities. The character is set to appear in Pixar’s upcoming Toy Story 5, making the Hollywood Studios addition an early opportunity for guests to meet one of the franchise’s newest faces.

Lilypad’s arrival also means saying goodbye to much of the attraction’s original playlist. Previous tracks including “Ride Like the Wind, Bullseye!,” “Zu-Zu (Ken’s Theme),” “When She Loved Me,” “Strange Things,” and “Emperor Zurg’s Planet” have been removed from the regular rotation. “You’ve Got a Friend in Me” and “We Belong Together” survived the DJ booth shakeup, but both received new remixes for the updated experience.

Between Lilypad’s larger-than-life debut and a playlist that jumps from Pixar classics to Taylor Swift, Alien Swirling Saucers has received a noticeable musical makeover. Guests may need a few rides to hear everything, but at least there is now another excuse to get delightfully dizzy in Toy Story Land.
