A Full Look at the Piston Peak National Park Layout
The new model showcases how Imagineers are blending the rugged aesthetic of the American West with the Cars universe. Taking inspiration from Rocky Mountain National Park and classical “Parkitecture” seen in national park lodges, the layout features dramatic mountain peaks, flowing rivers, roaring geysers, and dense pine tree lines that create a seamless natural transition from Frontierland.
Central landmarks shown on the model include Ranger Headquarters, a central visitor lodge, rustic wilderness trails, and the main hub where guests will step into the world of Lightning McQueen and Mater as they embark on a rally race through the wilderness.

Off Road Vehicle Design Unveiled
Along with the land layout, the display offers a detailed look at the new ride vehicles designed for the main off-road rally attraction.
The rugged, all-terrain race vehicles are styled with heavy-duty suspension, oversized tires, and exposed roll cages designed to navigate mountain climbs, mud pits, and geyser jumps. Each vehicle features distinct character elements and paint schemes reminiscent of the colorful roster in the Cars franchise, giving every ride unit a unique look as it races through the wilderness circuit.

Seamlessly Blending into Frontierland
Imagineers designed Piston Peak to feel like a natural extension of the story that spans Liberty Square and Frontierland. Tree barriers and rockwork will screen the high-energy rally action from adjacent areas, while towering peaks and geysers complement the surrounding vistas of Big Thunder Mountain Railroad.

With construction moving along at Magic Kingdom, this detailed model gives fans the best picture yet of how Piston Peak National Park will transform the western side of the park.
