Representing the biodiversity and rich cultures of the “Tropical Americas”—stretching from northern South America into Central America and Mexico—the immersive land will replace DinoLand U.S.A. and is slated for a full debut in 2027.

The Encanto Attraction: Step Inside Antonio’s Magical Rainforest

For the first time ever, fans will get to ride inside the magical Casita from Walt Disney Animation Studios’ Encanto.

Detailed models revealed on the show floor showcase how guests will step into the attraction on the exact day young Antonio receives his unique gift: the ability to communicate with animals. As riders pass through his door, his bedroom magically transforms into a sprawling, lush rainforest environment. Guided by Antonio and other members of the Madrigal family, guests will navigate through his magical habitat while encountering fan-favorite characters.

The Indiana Jones Attraction: Uncovering Maya Secrets

While guests at Disneyland in California and Tokyo DisneySea are familiar with Indiana Jones Adventure, Animal Kingdom’s brand-new attraction will feature a completely original story distinct from any other Disney park.

As seen in the live physical models currently showcased, the ride is set deep inside a massive, perfectly preserved Maya temple. The adventure follows “the man with the hat” as he investigates mysterious rumors of a legendary mythical creature hiding within the ruins. Indy brings guests along on his expedition into the ancient chambers—though, as always, riders will need to watch out for unexpected hazards (and yes, probably snakes).

Pueblo Esperanza is designed as a sprawling, lived-in Spanish-colonial style village, drawing architectural and cultural inspirations from research trips Imagineers took across Central and South America. Beyond the two headline rides, the physical land models highlight several key features:

• Large Hacienda: Designed to feel like the center of the community, this massive building will serve as one of the largest quick-service restaurants in all of Walt Disney World, offering ample seating and regional cuisine.
• Town Square & Fountain: A vibrant gathering hub at the center of the village where local storytellers and villagers gather to share tales.

• Wood-Carved Carousel: A hand-crafted, working carousel created by a fictional local artisan, featuring custom carvings of iconic Disney animals (including Up‘s Kevin).

Guests can expect to explore Pueblo Esperanza, ride alongside the Madrigal family, and dive into Maya temples with Indiana Jones when the land officially opens its doors in 2027.
