Fast & Furious: Supercharged Closing at Universal Orlando Earlier Than Expected
Looks like Universal Orlando is putting the pedal to the metal on retiring one of its most divisive attractions. Fast & Furious: Supercharged will now close on August 17, 2026, a full year earlier than previously announced.

Universal had originally shared that the attraction would remain open until 2027, but the timeline has now been accelerated. Guests hoping to take one last ride with Dom and the crew will have until August 16, 2026, before the attraction permanently closes the following day.
Fast & Furious: Supercharged opened at Universal Studios Florida in 2018 as a standalone version of the attraction that first debuted as part of the famous Studio Tour at Universal Studios Hollywood. While the Florida version featured expanded pre-shows and additional scenes created specifically for the attraction, it never quite found the same success. Without the context of the Studio Tour, the ride became one of Universal Orlando’s most criticized attractions and has long been the subject of rumors predicting its eventual closure.
The original Hollywood version officially closed in 2025, leaving the Florida attraction as the franchise’s final home until now.
The earlier closure comes as Universal continues looking toward the future with Fast & Furious: Hollywood Drift, the all-new high-speed roller coaster currently under construction at Universal Studios Hollywood and scheduled to debut in 2027. While Hollywood Drift has not been announced for Orlando, the timing suggests Universal is ready to leave Supercharged in the rearview mirror.
