Patriotic Decorations Arrive on Disneyland’s Main Street

Main Street, U.S.A. at Disneyland has officially received a vibrant, patriotic makeover just in time for the summer season. Colorful, star-spangled bunting and crisp American flags now line the historic storefronts, welcoming guests with a timeless dose of classic Americana as they stroll down the iconic thoroughfare.

The charming lampposts lining the thoroughfare have been dressed up with long, elegant banners displaying a field of white stars on a vibrant blue background, seamlessly flowing into classic red and white stripes. Crowning each display, small American flags sit proudly just beneath the streetlights.

Key landmarks like City Hall and the Emporium showcase extensive patriotic transformations. Vibrant red, white, and blue bunting drapes gracefully from the roofs, window sills, and balconies, enveloping the historic facades in a wave of timeless Americana.

The festive transformation comes at a perfect time, with Memorial Day arriving this Monday, May 25, followed by a monumental Independence Day on July 4th, which marks the United States of America’s historic 250th semiquincentennial anniversary.

The Americana overlays are just the beginning of Disney’s summer festivities. Across the esplanade, Disney California Adventure is preparing for its own massive celebration with the grand opening of Soarin’ Across America, offering guests a spectacular new view of the country’s most iconic landmarks.
