Shrek’s Swampy New Outhouse Popcorn Bucket Is Coming to Theaters for 25th Anniversary
Things are about to get a little swampy at the snack counter. To celebrate the 25th anniversary of Shrek, AMC Theatres is rolling out a collectible popcorn bucket that leans all the way into ogre-core nostalgia… and yes, it is Shrek’s iconic outhouse.

The limited-edition bucket is modeled after the rustic little shack from the film’s unforgettable opening scene. Designed with wood plank detailing, uneven edges, and that unmistakable crescent moon cutout on the door, it looks like it was plucked straight out of Shrek’s swamp. The front door even swings open, giving you a second way to grab your popcorn, while a hinged top flap lets you load up from above.
As if that was not enough ogre energy, the bucket also comes with a removable Shrek figure. The figure can attach to the base, turning this snack holder into a display piece worthy of any collector’s shelf. It is part popcorn bucket, part shrine to everyone’s favorite onion-loving anti-hero.

AMC Theatres will begin selling the bucket on May 1, 2026, while supplies last, and it includes a large popcorn with purchase. The release lines up perfectly with the return of Shrek to theaters for a limited-time anniversary run starting May 15, giving fans a chance to relive the magic, the mayhem, and the memes on the big screen.
The timing also builds anticipation for Shrek 5, which is currently set to hit theaters on December 23, 2026, bringing back familiar voices along with some new additions to the swampy saga.
