Chris Pratt Cast as Garfield in New Animated Film from Sony Pictures. Chris Pratt has signed on to voice Garfield in a new animated movie from Sony Pictures. The news was shared by The Hollywood Reporter along with the caption, “Guess not all Mondays are bad! Chris Pratt will voice the all-new animated version of #Garfield – here’s a first look at the new design for everyone’s favorite lasagna-loving fat cat.”

Garfield will be produced under Andrew Kosove and Broderick Johnson’s Alcon Entertainment, with a theatrical release hosted by Sony Pictures. The script has been written by Oscar nominee David Reynolds (Finding Nemo), and will be directed by Mark Dindal (Chicken Little). No other casting choices have been announced at this time.
