Chris Pratt Confirmed to Appear as Star-Lord in ‘Thor: Love and Thunder’

Chris Pratt Confirmed to Appear as Star-Lord in ‘Thor: Love and Thunder‘. Earlier this year, actor Vin Diesel, the voice of Groot in the Guardians of the Galaxy franchise, let slip that some of the Guardians would be making an appearance in Thor 4. Now, THR has confirmed Chris Pratt is set to appear in the sequel Thor: Love and Thunder following the events of Avengers: Endgame.

It is currently unknown how big of a role Pratt’s Peter Quill/Star-Lord will play in the film, but the presence of the Guardians in the movie suggests there may be some teaming up by the now fan dubbed, Asgardians of the Galaxy.

It is currently unknown what the premise of the film will entail, but we do know that Jane Foster (Natalie Portman) will become ‘The Mighty Thor’ and we will get to see Valkyrie (Tessa Thompson) in her new role as King of Asgard. Also rumored to take place in the film is Thor (Chris Hemsworth) receiving the Odinforce, but this detail has yet to be confirmed by Marvel Studios despite exploration into that story arc in a delete scene of Thor: Ragnarok. Also confirmed by Tessa Thompson is the addition of Christian Bale as the films undisclosed villain.

Thor: Love and Thunder is currently set to release in theaters February 11th, 2022. Be sure to check back here at Chip and Co, for all things Marvel!
