Boo to you!
It’s a spooktacular first birthday for Ranger the rhino!
To celebrate, keepers at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park threw him a Halloween-themed party complete with pumpkins, witches and every one-year old’s favorite – MUD! He had a great time exploring all the frighteningly fun activities set up for the day.
Join us in wishing Ranger a very happy FIRST birthday!

It’s wonderful to see the young rhino enjoying a Halloween overlay, but the safety of the rhino species is being aided by Disney’s animal care team. Disney is collaborating with animal and wildlife science institutions to help save the rhinos.
The group – which includes collaborators from Disney’s Animals, Science and Environment team, The Wilds, George Mason University, the South-East Zoo Alliance for Reproduction & Conservation, The Center for Conservation and Research of Endangered Wildlife (CREW) at the Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical Garden, and the Animal TB Research Group from Stellenbosch University, South Africa – plans to work together to help ensure the success and sustainment of thriving rhino populations in zoos and other accredited facilities.
Together, these institutions are helping the rhinos seen at Disney’s Animal Kingdom!
