New travel restrictions go into effect for foreign travelers coming to the US starting November 8. The Biden administration is moving towards a “vaccinations-based” system.
The new policy requires all non-immigrant adults traveling to the United States to be fully vaccinated (with very limited exceptions) and all travelers will need to have a negative COVID-19 test prior to boarding their flight. Under the policy, unvaccinated travelers will need to show proof of their negative test within one day of travel. Vaccinated travelers can use a test taken within 3 days of travel.
Children under age 18 will not be required to be vaccinated but kids age 2 and up will need to have a negative Covid-19 test.
Airlines will be required to enforce the requirements. Airlines will also be required to collect contact information for travelers so contact tracing can be done.
We could see capacity at Walt Disney World and other theme parks increase as more international travelers return to vacationing in the US.
