The permit is for general construction at the main Lava pool and is set to expire on June 25, 2021. That is around the time the resort is scheduled to reopen, summer 2021.
We do know that rooms at the resort will also be re-themed. In regards to the room changes, Disney has stated “a move to a Pacific Ocean-inspired color palette as well as details, patterns and textures from Disney’s Moana”.
