Marvel has just issued the statement following the death of Black Panther star Chadwick Boseman. Marvel Studios shared an initial statement via various social media accounts, stating, “Our hearts are broken and our thoughts are with Chadwick Boseman’s family. Your legacy will live on forever. Rest In Peace.”

The news was released on Friday night about the passing of Chadwick Boseman at the young age of 43 due to cancer. Chadwick was diagnosed with stage III colon cancer in 2016, and battled with it these last 4 years as it progressed to stage IV.
Marvel Studios is expected to make a statement in the coming days or weeks regarding how the studio plans on moving forward without Chadwick Boseman at the helm for the Black Panther sequel meant to hit theaters May 6,th 2022.
