The 24th annual Critics’ Choice Awards nominees have recently been announced by the Broadcast Film Critics. The Walt Disney Company comes out strong with nominations for several films including “Black Panther”, “Mary Poppins Returns”, “Avengers: Infinity War”, “Ralph Breaks the Internet”, and “Incredibles 2”.
Wakanda Forever! Disney’s “Black Panther” has earned 12 nominations – coming in second of the field of film nominees behind “The Favourite”. The film has been nominated for the following:
- Best Picture
- Best Supporting Actor – Michael B. Jordan
- Best Acting Ensemble
- Best Adapted Screenplay – Ryan Coogler, Joe Robert Cole
- Best Cinematography – Rachel Morrison
- Best Production Design – Hannah Beachler, Jay Hart
- Best Costume Design – Ruth Carter
- Best Hair and Makeup
- Best Visual Effects
- Best Action Movie
- Best Song – All the Stars
- And Best Score – Ludwig Göransson
Just a spoonful of sugar helps the medicine go down! Also coming in with a whopping 9 nominations – “Mary Poppins Returns”.

- Best Production Design – John Myhre, Gordon Sim

Additionally, receiving recognition is “Avengers: Infinity War” in the categories of Best Visual Effects and Best Action Movie.
Lastly, both “Ralph Breaks the Internet” and “Incredibles 2” snag a nomination for Best Animated Feature.
