When you enter any park at Walt Disney World, or visit the Disney Springs area, you can’t help but be overwhelmed and overstimulated by the vast amount of merchandise!  Of course you might think of mouse ears, pins, and Vinylmation as some of the top Disney souvenirs.  If you think outside the box a bit, you might be surprised what you’ll be bringing home.

So, I want to share with you some suggestions for souvenirs you can get at Disney that will make everyone happy!

  • Picture Frames.  You know you’re taking a ton of pictures at Disney, right?  Well, in almost every gift shop you’ll find some fun frames to showcase those memories.  I try to keep in mind the frames I have, and make sure I get a good picture of our family from that current trip to put in it.
  • Christmas items.  At Downtown Disney, you’ll find the Disney Day’s of Christmas Shop.  Stockings, ornaments, and other Christmas decor make awesome keepsake souvenirs from your trip.  You can even have some items personalized.
  • Kitchen items.  Cups, plates, coffee mugs, silverware, towels…you name it, you’ll find it.  Mickey’s Pantry and the World of Disney, both at Disney Springs, have an excellent selection of kitchen and food items.  One of our most useful souvenirs, that we still use now, are our Mickey pizza plates!
  • Pins, Lanyards, and Vinylmation.  If you are going to spend money on souvenirs, why not make it an ongoing souvenir collection that you can add to?  Each trip, many kids will look forward to adding to their pin collection, getting a new lanyard medal, or finding that Vinylmation figure that is exclusive to the parks for that year.
  • Jewelry.  I LOVE hitting the World of Disney to get a new bead for my Pandora charm bracelet.  Also, necklaces, earrings, and other fun accessories are something you can wear again and again when you get home.
  • Special Event Merchandise.  Don’t forget about the Food & Wine & Flower & Garden Festivals.  These events bring out special merchandise just for those times.  That also makes great souvenirs.
  • Epcot World Showcase.  Here you’ll find Chinese parasols, pearls, and passports.  So many unique items are found in the World Showcase at EPCOT, that you’re bound to leave there feeling good about your purchases.
  • Engraved glass items.  Arribas is my favorite place at Disney to have these engraved.  Cups, keepsakes, and so many other beautiful things can be found at Arribas.  Each of us has a glass mug with our name on one side and a character on the other.
  • Freebies at the resorts and parks.  Park maps, soaps, shampoos, etc make fun souvenirs!  You could do some creative things with park maps when you get home.  Use them in a scrapbook layout, make coasters out of them, or frame them.

Souvenirs are awesome, aren’t they?!  What is your most loved Disney souvenir you have?

  1. Definitely in agreement with the pins and lanyards as that’s a favorite ongoing thing. The Vinylmation doesn’t do it for me. We definitely do Christmas and kitchen items as they are either seasonal reminders or ongoing reminders.

While more “in the box”, my favorites are my PAL Mickey I got at WDW in 2007, and the various Nightmare Before Christmas items(Jack, Sally, Zero, Vampire Teddy Bear) purchased in park on different trips from 2012-2013. I see those every day, and PAL Mickey goes with the family on all Disney trips!

  2. I am a AP holder so each trip my mom gets a pin for her collection which means something to what we are celebrating that month and I get a bead to add to my Disney bracelet. We love spending time looking for each of the items each trip!

  3. <3 my Chamilia Disney charms, I just picked up Chamilia earrings to focus on two special beads. Don't forget, when you're buying souvenirs, that most of the time the Disney stores offer promotions that are only available if you're spending a certain amount already. We've gotten some of our favorite souvenirs that way – blanket throws, tote bags, beach towels, watches, etc. And don't forget, if you're an AAA or DVC member or an Annual Passholder, you get a discount at many shops :)! One more thing – one of my favorite souvenirs is Disney hotel stationery :). (Sometimes you have to ask for it.)

  4. I always have to buy a few pens on my Disney trips! I use them all the time and they remind me of my great times in Disney.

  5. At the Arribas store in Germany! (They have about 50, so plan to be there a while.. it took me an hour to decide. 🙂 They even have ones based on the Disney princesses with either a rose, an apple, or a slipper on them in colored crystals. So cute!

  6. I think I bought 8 out of 10 on my last trip alone! And you’re right, I’m glad I did. 🙂

  7. I bought myself a tiara this last visit. I love it. Also got a few Christmas ornaments and some spices for my kitchen. Oh, and don’t forget my pins! They are awesome.

  8. I’ve got some cute stuff at run disney. never thought of a pandora charm, might have to get that!

  9. Jewelry, I love Disney jewelry :3 its the best!, I just bought an owl with mickey ears

  10. definitely a Christmas ornament, a t-shirt/hoodie, and pins. then anything that catches our eye.

  11. I have 8 out of ten of these at home! I do love bringing home soap, that way I can open one and be back at the World whenever I want.

  12. Pressed pennies and Park specific items. We love most anything that has to do with the parks since we can have any character in our home with a movie but can’t bring the park home!

  13. By far the best souvenir we got was the Potato Head parts at Once Upon a Toy in DTD. The kids play with them almost every day.
