Visitors to the Disneyland Hotel in California might be familiar with Trader Sam’s Enchanted Tiki Bar. Great atmosphere and fun decor based on the Jungle Cruise Ride, makes Trader Sam’s Enchanted Tiki Bar a must stop during your visit. Now Walt Disney World will be opening a slightly different version called Trader Sam’s Grog Grotto at their newly renovated and renamed resort – Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort.
Imagineers Kyle Barnes and Brandon Kleyla shared some new concept art with attendees at the Mahaloween Luau held in the Tiki Bar at Disneyland recently. Although similar in concept, Trader Sam’s Grog Grotto decor in WDW will be based more on the 20,000 Leagues under the Sea movie, than on the Jungle Cruise theme used at Trader Sam’s Enchanted Tiki Bar at the Disneyland Hotel.
Check out the Trader Sam’s Grog Grotto artwork below and let me know what you think of this upcoming new food adventure opening its doors in 2015.
