One of the classic attractions at the Walt Disney World Resort in Florida is going to be closing for refurbishment later this fall. The Walt Disney World Railroad is scheduled to be closed for refurbishment between September 30, 2013 through October 20, 2013. The Walt Disney World Railroad is currently scheduled to reopen on October 21 2013. Apparently, permits have recently been filed in order to work on two of the bridges along the railroad’s route.

Hopefully they don’t close it down early, we’ll have 5 days to get there and enjoy the ride! We missed getting on the train last year, this year the whole family is coming with us and will love it!
yes and no It is ok if it opens on time as we are there from october 18th to the 25th. So it may just mean waiting until near the end of vacation to ride the train.
May or may not….we are headed there on Oct. 23rd, so as long as they are completed on time, doesn’t interfere for us!
Whew~! I saw the headline and was seriously stressed! So glad it will be open back up in time for my trip. My son is 2 and his like is “choo-choos” (Chuggington, not Thomas) but he especially loves steam engines and cannot wait to ride the Disney railroad.
