Drive-In Theaters Coming To Walmart Parking Lots This Summer
Walmart is partnering with Tribeca Enterprises this summer to show classic movies- including Jaws, Space Jam, and many more- in Walmart store parking lots! Beginning in August, this retro theater experience will take over store’s parking lots and is scheduled to run through October with 320 movie showings. According to Comic Book, “Filmmakers and celebrities will also be on hand for select experiences.”
Jane Rosenthal, CEO and Co-Founder of Tribeca Enterprises and Tribeca Film Festival, described the idea behind the Walmart Drive-Ins: “Drive-Ins have been a signature program for Tribeca since we started the Tribeca 19 years ago after 9/11. But now, the Tribeca Drive-In is much more than a fun, retro way to see movies — it’s one of the safest ways for communities to gather.”
Starting in August at select Walmart stores, we’re partnering with @Tribeca and rolling out the red carpet for drive-in movie premieres, complete with car-side 🍿and 🥤service. Stay tuned for more details. See you at the movies! https://t.co/JfUPB6QK8C pic.twitter.com/t4Enk8aYzL
