Video: Closer look at new points of light for Spaceship Earth

We recently shared a first look at Spaceship Earth’s new lighting for Walt Disney World’s 50th Anniversary Celebration. Now, Walt Disney Imagineering has shared a video with a closer look at the lights!

All of the Walt Disney World theme park icons will be getting a special makeover for the 50th Anniversary Celebration. Spaceship Earth in Epcot will be getting new lighting that will remain installed even after the celebration ends.

Spaceship Earth will be so sparkly with its new EARidescent lighting! In a video Walt Disney Imagineering shared to Instagram Principal Show Lighting Designer Jason Read shared how Disney’s teams are adding points of light with fixtures that will shine across all of the different faces of Spaceship Earth to tell the story of communication and connection. Take a look:
