Pixar Place Hotel Gets Monsters, Inc. Halloween Transformation
Spooky season is officially creeping into the Disneyland Resort, and Pixar Place Hotel is getting in on the fun with a delightful Monsters, Inc. lobby overlay!
For the 2026 Halloween season, Disney has revamped the main lobby space of Pixar Place Hotel, dressing up the entryways, elevator shafts, and walls with playful graphics of Monstropolis favorites celebrating Halloween.
From the moment guests arrive at the main entrance and porte-cochère, they will spot colorful door and window decals reminiscent of the iconic Monsters, Inc. opening title sequence. Vibrant doors stretch across the glass windows, showing mischievous monsters weaving in and out to snag sweet treats—with a toddler-sized Boo hidden in her famous purple monster suit!
Inside the atrium, the permanent character sculptures (including the giant Pixar Lamp and Luxo Ball) remain, but the surrounding architecture has received a monstrous transformation:
- Elevator Shaft Transformation: The center glass panels of the main elevator shaft feature a giant monster eye and a gaping toothy mouth, while side windows showcase colorful door decals.
- Costumed Characters: Look closely at the lower walls to spot fan-favorite characters dressed for trick-or-treating! Celia Mae wears a witch hat, Roz sports star-shaped antennae, and Monsters University duo Terri and Terry appear in a hilarious shared alien/UFO costume.
- Monstrous Sweets: High along the lobby walls, clusters of scare doors showcase funny monster candy brands like “Candy Horn,” “Carasmell,” and “Smelly Beans,” alongside playful graphics shouting “Trick or Scream!”
The overlay provides a fun, family-friendly Halloween touch to Disneyland’s newest reimagined resort hotel, seamlessly blending Pixar’s classic animation aesthetic with Halloween festivity.
