InterAmerica Stage Brought On for Disney’s Antonio’s Fiesta de Encanto Ride
Work on Antonio’s Fiesta de Encanto is moving right along as construction gears up for the new Tropical Americas land taking over DinoLand U.S.A. at Disney’s Animal Kingdom. To help bring the magical Madrigal home to life, Walt Disney Imagineering has officially tapped specialized technical help.
According to a recently filed public construction permit, Disney has contracted InterAmerica Stage for general construction work located at 504 Dinoland Dr—the designated physical address for the upcoming Encanto attraction.
While the permit lists standard “General Construction,” the choice of contractor gives fan-favorite speculation a huge boost. InterAmerica Stage is a Florida-based company renowned for high-end theatrical rigging, stage machinery, overhead structures, and specialized mechanical set fabrication.
Although Tropical Americas isn’t adding a brand-new live stage show—with Finding Nemo: The Big Blue… and Beyond! already holding down performance duties nearby—the inclusion of a specialized theatrical rigging team hints heavily at intricate physical set pieces, overhead moving elements, or complex show action equipment inside the dark ride.
Officially named Antonio’s Fiesta de Encanto during D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event, the family-friendly dark ride will take guests inside Casita just after Antonio receives his gift to communicate with animals.
