In just 11 weeks, Universal Orlando Resort is set to become an even bigger vacation destination with the grand opening of Epic Universe on May 22, 2025. This milestone moment will transform Universal into a four-park resort, offering guests an entire week’s worth of thrills, adventure, and immersive storytelling like never before.

A Game-Changing Destination
Universal Orlando has been a top family vacation spot for 35 years, evolving into a fully immersive resort experience with multiple theme parks, hotels, CityWalk, and more. But Epic Universe will take things to the next level, making Universal an even more compelling week-long destination.
With the opening of Epic Universe, guests will get to explore five new worlds, each packed with cutting-edge attractions, next-level technology, and immersive storytelling:
- The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Ministry of Magic – A new chapter in the Wizarding World, blending 1920s wizarding Paris with the British Ministry of Magic.
- SUPER NINTENDO WORLD – Step into the world of Mario, Luigi, and Donkey Kong, complete with interactive gameplay elements.
- How to Train Your Dragon – Isle of Berk – A land where guests can soar with dragons, explore Viking culture, and enjoy larger-than-life adventures.
- Dark Universe – A thrilling horror-inspired land where Universal’s Classic Monsters come to life.
- Celestial Park – The heart of Epic Universe, filled with lush landscapes, cosmic-themed attractions, and dazzling fountains.

“We Push Every Boundary Possible”
In the newly released video, Universal’s creative leaders emphasize that Epic Universe isn’t just a new theme park—it’s a new way to experience Universal Orlando. From expanding the resort to four parks to incorporating next-generation storytelling and ride technology, the goal is to create an experience that goes beyond imagination.
“We are bigger and better than we’ve ever been before,” said Mark Woodbury, Chairman and CEO of Universal Destinations and Experiences, adding that even though Epic Universe feels like the grand finale, it’s just the beginning.

What’s Next for Universal?
Epic Universe is just one part of Universal’s ongoing evolution. Even before the park’s grand opening, the company is already planning new attractions across all its parks. The future is bright for Universal Orlando Resort, and guests can expect even more thrilling adventures in the years to come.
