Back to Hogwarts Celebration Casts Its Spell Across Universal Orlando’s Three Theme Parks

Grab your robes, polish those wands, and make sure someone remembered the Chocolate Frogs because Universal Orlando Resort is heading Back to Hogwarts. The seasonal celebration runs from August 1 through September 1, 2026, bringing special entertainment, treats, merchandise, and plenty of house pride to The Wizarding World of Harry Potter across Universal Studios Florida, Universal Islands of Adventure, and Universal Epic Universe.

Over at Hogsmeade in Islands of Adventure, guests can meet the Hogwarts Express conductor near the iconic train. During the celebration, the cheerful conductor may even have a little extra advice for witches and wizards preparing for another school year. Once night falls, Hogwarts Always will illuminate the castle on select evenings with music, lights, and memorable moments inspired by a year at Hogwarts.

This year’s celebration also joins the festivities marking 25 years since the first Harry Potter film arrived in theaters. Guests can toast the occasion with a limited Harry Potter 25th Anniversary Butterbeer mug, available with Butterbeer at Universal Studios Florida and Islands of Adventure while supplies last. Hogwarts House Ice Lollies are also available in Diagon Alley and The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Ministry of Magic at Epic Universe, with flavors themed to Gryffindor, Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw, and Slytherin.

Young witches and wizards can complete their back-to-school shopping with exclusive merchandise, including house-themed apparel, accessories, bags, and second-generation interactive wands available throughout the three Wizarding World lands. The newer wands feature spell-specific lighting, vibrations, and other effects that add an extra spark to the interactive spell locations.

The celebration reaches its grand finale on September 1, the traditional day Hogwarts students gather at King’s Cross Station and Platform 9¾ for the journey to school.
