‘The Bear’ Has Been Renewed for a Fifth Season

Yes, Chef! The Bear Renewed for Season 5 on FX — Coming in 2026

Order up! FX has officially renewed The Bear for a fifth season, with fresh episodes set to hit our screens in 2026. The announcement comes hot on the heels of Season 4, which dropped nearly two weeks ago on June 25, and clearly, fans (and critics) couldn’t devour it fast enough. This, according to reporting by ABC.

FX Chairman John Landgraf made the announcement, praising the series for maintaining its high standards year after year:

The Bear continues to be a fan favorite worldwide… Chris Storer, the producers, cast, and crew make The Bear one of the best shows on television.”

And with 11 Emmy wins for its second season, the most ever for a comedy series in a single year, we’re inclined to agree.

What’s Cooking for Season 5?

While details are still simmering, we know The Bear will once again follow Carmen “Carmy” Berzatto (Jeremy Allen White), Sydney Adamu (Ayo Edebiri), and Richie Jerimovich (Ebon Moss-Bachrach) as they navigate the intense, chaotic, and emotional world of running a high-end Chicago kitchen.

Season 4 saw the trio striving to elevate The Bear into something greater, but that dream comes with plenty of fire (both literal and emotional). With new challenges always on the burner, Season 5 promises more kitchen chaos, more soul-searching, and hopefully, even more beef (Italian and otherwise).

The rest of the ensemble cast — Abby Elliott, Lionel Boyce, Liza Colón-Zayas, Matty Matheson, Oliver Platt, and Molly Gordon — is expected to return for Season 5, keeping that found-family dynamic alive and searing.

Series creator Chris Storer will continue steering the ship as executive producer, ensuring the tone remains heartfelt, raw, and razor-sharp.

From Local Sandwich Shop to Global Phenomenon

What started as a show about a scrappy sandwich shop in Chicago has evolved into one of the most acclaimed shows of the decade. The Bear has managed to blend anxiety-inducing kitchen realism with rich character arcs, devastating loss, and the slow, beautiful grind of growth, both personal and professional.

And let’s be honest: it’s also responsible for making us all very hungry. (Italian beef, anyone?)

Stay tuned, chefs. 2026 is going to be delicious.
