Disneyland Resort Hotels

Exciting news coming out of Disneyland today! Several dining changes have been announced to make the Disneyland Resort Hotels even more magical!

Disneyland Hotel

The South Seas hideaway at Disneyland Hotel, Tanagaroa Terrace will close for a refurbishment and open once again in early 2019. When it reopens, it will be know as Tangaroa Bar & Grill and feature a ’50s Tiki-inspired design complementing the mid-century modern architecture of the Resort. The Bar & Grill will also offer guests a new outdoor bar with a refreshed patio serving up island-inspired cocktails and Asian-inspired dishes. Inside, other new touches include new light fixtures made of colorful fishing floats and netting, a tropical mural and, and bamboo accents. A new service window will be open for guests to grab a cup of one of their various coffee selections during the morning hours and even a Dole Whip throughout the rest of the day. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner will be served daily with an open-air marketplace for those looking for a bite on the run. To fill the void of Tangaroa Terrace during the re-imagination process, menu offerings will be available at The Coffee House, Trader Sam’s Enchanted Tiki Bar, and Stetakhouse 55.

Disney’s Grand California Resort & Spa

White Water Snacks will also be closing for a refurbishment but will be reopening later this year with a new look. In the meantime, guests are invited to pick up popular grab-and-go options at Hearthstone Lounge.

Also, at Disney’s Grand Californian Resort & Spa, a new poolside bar will be opening in Spring of 2019! The new, luxurious pool bar featured in the concept art above will stay with the Hotels’ iconic Arts and Crafts design with natural boulder stonework and clinker bricks. A custom tile mural at the back bar will set the craftsman tone and an all-new trellis will provide shade and the perfect place to enjoy a tasty beverage and delicious tapas. New lounges and table seating will also be available.

What changes are you most looking forward to at the Disneyland Resort Hotels? For me, its a toss-up between the Tangaroa Bar & Grill and the new pool bar!
