I was lucky to find the time to sit down over this weekend to check out the “Thor: Ragnarok” DVD. In full disclosure, this is the first “Thor” movie I have seen. However, it definitely won’t be the last!

In this edition of “Thor,” Thor finds himself pitted against his fellow Avenger, The Hulk. He also is in a race against time to save his universe from his evil sister, Hela.

While I was expecting a lot of action in the movie, I was equally impressed with the comedy and one-liners. The action scenes were amazing though! They definitely beat my expectations. I also loved how bright and colorful the scenes were. They were perfectly crafted to make the viewer feel like they were in the middle of all the action.

Chris Hemsworth’s portrayal of Thor was right on the mark. In fact, the entire casting of super heroes in Thor: Ragnarok was amazing. In addition to Hemsworth, I was also dazzled by Cate Blanchett who played Hela and Mark Ruffalo who played The Hulk. Their acting really brought the super heroes to life.

The music in “Thor: Ragnarok” was also out of this universe! If you are a fan of 80’s music, you must download the soundtrack. I promise you won’t be disappointed!

There seems to be a new comic book story brought to the big screen more and more frequently these days. One might even say the market is being oversaturated with these super hero stories. However, I don’t think “Thor: Ragnarok” can be grouped in this category of just another super hero movie. The acting, storyline, comedy, and production goes above and beyond other popular comic book-based movies.

The movie runs at just about 2 hours to give you and a nice way to get comfortable, sit back, and escape reality for a few hours. The plot develops nicely while the acting, action scenes, and comedy will keep you hooked throughout the entire movie.

So, if you are looking for a great movie to rent or buy, make sure to you check out “Thor: Ragnarok!” I know I’m going to be checking out the other “Thor” movies in the next few days. I can’t believe I’ve been missing out on all this action and fun!

“Thor: Ragnarok” DVD and Blu-Ray goes on sale at your favorite retailer on Tuesday, March 6. If you are wanting even more fun and action, you have to check out all the bonus content on the DVD! The deleted scenes are amazing and the director’s commentary gives the viewer even more insight into the film.
