Reopening of Disney’s Grand Californian DVC Rooms Delayed Due to New Guidelines

Disney had previously announced that the DVC Villas at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa were scheduled to open on Dec. 6. Unfortunately, a new regional stay-at-home order was issued on Dec. 3, causing a delay for the process.

As of right now, Disney has not set a new reopening date, but will keep the safety of Cast Members and guests as a top priority when looking ahead.

The Disney Vacation Club website shared a message about the unfortunate news: “Disney Vacation Club is delaying the reopening of The Villas at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa as we further review the new regional stay at home order announced by the State of California on December 3. Walt Disney World theme parks, Disney Vacation Club Resorts located at Walt Disney World Resort, Disney’s Vero Beach Resort, Disney’s Hilton Head Island Resort and Aulani, A Disney Resort & Spa are now open.”
