Remy's On His Way! The New Attraction is Taking Shape!

Construction on EPCOT’s new Ratatouille-inspired ride is progressing! Currently, the completion and opening of Remy’s new ride in the France pavilion are slated for very late 2019. With any setbacks or problems, it might even be early 2020 before we can experience the attraction. (But we’re keeping our fingers crossed for 2019!)

Work on the new ride began in September of last year. If you’ve been to the parks recently, you have probably noticed a large building taking shape just behind the existing buildings in the pavilion. You can see it more clearly from the International Gateway at EPCOT.

The Ratatouille-inspired ride hasn’t been named yet, but Disney has been conducting surveys to get Guests’ ideas and opinions about potential names for the ride. The same attraction is a Guest favorite at Disneyland Paris.

In the new 4D ride, Guests are “shrunk” down to Remy’s size and must dodge all kinds of dangers—including the evil Chef Skinner. The ride takes place inside a huge kitchen at —across a huge kitchen inside Gusteau’s restaurant. Bon appetit!
