‘Pirates of the Caribbean 6’ Fan Trailer Teases the Return of Davy Jones and Captain Jack Sparrow. Disney Fans are eager to learn more about the upcoming Pirates of the Caribbean 6 movie starring Margot Robbie and are hopeful that Disney will revise their decision to drop Johnny Depp from the project.

In the meantime, the folks over at Smasher have created a fan-made trailer along with a title suggestion calling the upcoming film “Return of Davy Jones.” The trailer featured Johnny Depp as Captain Jack Sparrow, Orlando Bloom as William Turner, and Keira Knightly as Elizabeth Turner, with an expected reappearance by Davy Jones himself!

For those wondering about the decision to drop Depp from the franchise despite many claims that the films will not be successful without the iconic Disney Legend, very public legal battles between Johnny Depp and his ex-wife Amber Heard over their tumultuous relationship led to Depp being dropped from several large projects including Pirates of the Caribbean and Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them after he was labelled as a “wife-beater” in the UK based tabloid The Sun. Depp went on to sue the paper for defamation and slander, but ultimately lost that legal suit. With a recent court win requiring Heard and ACLU to provide proof of donations after their divorce in 2016, Depp may be poised to appeal his prior cases and overturn the rulings.
