Johnny Depp Wins Court Battle Forcing Amber Heard to Prove Divorce Donations. The fallout following the famous divorce between actors Johnny Depp and Amber Heard has been its own cinematic journey for fans in both camps. There is a lot to catch up on, but for those who have been following this story closely a new ruling will shed light on the murkier details of the divorce.

This week a judge ruled in Johnny Depp’s favor for the ACLU to have to provide documentation of Amber Heard’s alleged $7 million donations to the ACLU after their 2016 divorce. IF this new motion proves Heard was lying during their libel suit Depp will have more leverage in future proceedings or appeal cases.

Per the report by Daily Mail: “Now a judge has granted 23 of the 24 requests in the actor’s ‘motion to compel’, meaning the organization must produce the paperwork relating to Heard’s charitable contributions. The only thing Judge Arthur Engoron refused was a request for documents relating to the actress’s role as a ‘brand ambassador’ for the ACLU.

The report continues, “The judge ruled Depp ‘has satisfied the initial burden of stating the circumstances of reasons underlying the subpoena… the ACLU has failed to demonstrate that the information sought it utterly irrelevant to the action… ‘Thus, for the reasons stated herein, the petition is granted and denied in part and respondents are ordered to comply with all subpoenas with the exception of… documents pertaining to Ms Heard’s role as a brand ambassador for the ACLU.’
