Photo Update: Tron Coaster Construction Has Made Progress

The new year is coming super soon and we all know what that means- we’re one year closer to Walt Disney World’s 50th Celebration! So many new rides and experiences will be opening in 2021 and the Tron coaster is a big one. There has definitely been some progress since our last photo update for you.

Of course, we cannot forget about the major construction milestone that was reached just before Thanksgiving- the final piece of track has been laid!

All of the twisting exterior track can be seen right in front of Space Mountain‘s structure. If you close your eyes, you can almost hear yourself zipping by on this fast-paced ride!

The main loading zone and indoor portion of the attraction have definitely been built up in the past couple of weeks. We’re excited to see the line queue and theming come together as it gets closer to the opening!

If you want to view the progress for yourself while enjoying a day at Magic Kingdom, head over to either “The Barnstormer” in Storybook Circus or “The Tomorrowland Transit Authority Peoplemover” for the best view.

Before we know it, 2021 will be here with all of Walt Disney World’s new attractions! Are you excited to ride the Tron coaster?
