Paul Rudd steals the show with a hilarious cameo found in the new Chip ’n Dale: Rescue Rangers Disney+ movie!
Since his franchise debut in 2015, Paul Rudd has appeared in a total of five films set in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, establishing Scott Lang as a fan-favorite character along the way. The new Rescue Rangers movie, which is something of a meta take on the current era of reboots and nostalgia in Hollywood, takes a jab at Paul Rudd’s MCU character by a play on words.

“Yeah, originally it was called Aunt-Man. A-U-N-T,” Paul Rudd says in the film. “And my superpower was being really charming to aunts. That’s great, isn’t it? But yeah, they changed it.”
The joke itself gets a great payoff during the Rescue Rangers credits. Several posters for joke movies come up during the credits sequence, and one actually highlights Aunt-Man. The poster shows Rudd in his Ant-Man suit (sans helmet) and surrounded by a few smiling aunts.
There’s No Case Too Big, No Case Too Small
Disney+’s new movie is reminiscent of Who Framed Roger Rabbit in both story and visual effects. The story features cartoon characters as actors in the real world. Also, the humor includes a lot of sight gags and jokes involving pop culture. Watching the Disney+ movie made us laugh and there’s a ton of hilarious cartoon cameos.
In all honesty, this movie is definitely aimed at adult Disney fans who grew up on the cartoon. It’s similar to how the first Wreck-It Ralph had jokes aimed at gamers. If you consider yourself an adult Disney fan who grew up with this cartoon, or if you adore the Roger Rabbit movie, then the new Disney+ movie is right for you!
The hybrid live-action/CG comedy stars John Mulaney and Andy Samberg as the chipmunk duo. Others joining the cast include: KiKi Layne, Will Arnett, Eric Bana, Dennis Haysbert, Keegan-Michael Key, Seth Rogen, J.K. Simmons, and Chris Parnell.
