We may have an idea as to when Agatha Harkness returns to the MCU!
The villainous witch first appeared in the MCU with WandaVision played by Kathryn Hahn, in which she initially poses as the two hero’s friendly neighbor Agnes who is constantly looking in on Wanda and Vision in the sitcom-like Westview. It is ultimately revealed she is the ancient Agatha, who killed all members of her Salem coven including her mother in 1693 and has been subtly manipulating events in Westview in the hopes of claiming Wanda’s powers for herself.

According to the Writers Guild of America‘s official database, three new writers have joined the staff for the MCU show.
The profiles for screenwriters Peter Cameron, Cameron Squires and Laura Donney now include Agatha: House of Harkness among their respective writing credits, and reveal that the show will air during the 2023-2024 TV season. The WGA directory also confirms that the WandaVision spinoff is a comedy, which tracks with previous reports regarding its tone.
Production for the project is currently set to begin in late October of this year. If everything goes smoothly, and efficiently, that could line up with a Halloween 2023 debut. Though, given the recent trend of production & post-production delays, the show’s premiere could easily be pushed back.
