More Disney World 50th Anniversary Decorations Removed from Cinderella Castle. Disney100 has come to the Walt Disney World Parks and Resorts now that the 50th anniversary has ended and with that happening Cinderella Castle is slowly transforming with the removal of the decorations.
The beautiful blue jeweled swag and bunting are being removed each day. We have seen the cranes and scissor lifts in the drained moat area that are being used after park hours to remove the decorations.
In the above image, you can see the difference. We could almost play the Spot the Difference game with the photos. Stay with us over the next few days as the transformation continues.
We do know the castle turret swirls will be removed along with the rest of the bunting and swag. The 50th logo that was in front of the clock has already been removed. The only major thing that will not change is the paint job, Disney has stated that the colors will be staying for the near future.

Tinkerbell from Peter Pan & Wendy Yara Shahidi Visits Disneyland
Yara Shahidi, who stars as Tinker Bell in the Disney+ Original movie, “Peter Pan & Wendy,” recently went on a wondrous adventure at the Disneyland Resort!
Yara’s visit was everything she dreamed of which started off at Fantasyland at Sleeping Beauty’s Castle. She traveled to Pixie Hollow, an enchanted forest hideaway where guests can encounter Tinker Bell in her magical realm. At Pixie Hollow, Yara shared her happy thoughts which included spending time with her brothers and listening to music.
Yara then grabbed her Minnie ears, headed to Mickey’s Toontown and went on an adventure into a whimsical cartoon world at Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway.
She capped off her perfect day with some food and beverage offerings including a Disney100 Old-Fashioned Cream soda with purple pixie dust. And how can she turn down a churro, especially a Galaxy Churro with cinnamon-sugar glitter.
Yara cannot wait for you to see her character’s adventures and see “Peter Pan & Wendy” now streaming exclusively on Disney+.
Mother’s Day Treats Now Available in the Magic Kingdom. Mother’s Day is right around the corner, and we’re honoring moms and the mother figures in our lives, Disney just posted. With photo opportunities, postcards, and some help from AdventHealth for Women.
At the Magic Kingdom, prior to all the amazing things happening at Disney Springs and around the Resorts, Disney’s confectionary team has put out some delectable sweets and treats for the special mother figure in our lives at Main Street Confectionary.
The normal Krispy Treats, marshmallow-on-a-stick sweets, and of course chocolate and candy-covered apples galore.
More will be coming, but read below for some special Mom’s Day things happening at Disney Springs happening Friday, Saturday and Sunday from April 28 through May 14.

Visiting the all-new Drury Plaza Hotel in Disney Springs. Once upon a time, back in 1972, there were only 3 hotels located at Walt Disney World. The Contemporary, The Polynesian, and a Travel Lodge, which was located at a dead-end road, now called Hotel Plaza BLVD.
In 2000, the hotel became Best Western Lake Buena Vista Resort Hotel, then in 2017 Drury bought the property, and when the pandemic hit the hotel was closed and renamed Drury Plaza Hotel Orlando Lake Buena Vista, and a new tower was built.
Fast Forward to 2023, and we got a chance to take a room tour, sample the breakfast, and learn all about the newly operating resort here at Disney Springs. Let’s take a look at some of the highlights.

Chris Pratt, star of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, recently pranked guests at Disneyland’s Guardians of the Galaxy – Mission: Breakout. While on Jimmy Kimmel Live, Pratt & Kimmel pranked guests as they got off the attraction.
Pratt was projected into a box at the exit of the ride’s queue where he interacted with guests in real-time while pretending to be AI. He made robotic movements and spoke in a robotic-type voice. He even sang “Happy Birthday” to a guest. Take a look:
Jimmy Kimmel joined Christ Pratt towards the end of each interaction. Guests looked like they had a great time experiencing this unexpected magic at Disney California Adventure.

Take a Tour of The Incredibles Rooms at Disney’s Contemporary Resort
We recently had the opportunity to tour The Incredibles rooms at Disney’s Contemporary Resort! These rooms were reimagined in the fall of 2021. The theming starts before you even enter the room!
In between the rooms, you’ll see pictures like the one above. They feature the Parr family in their superhero uniforms.
Inside, there is a modern-looking bathroom with a separate toilet room. It had a shower/tub combo and a double vanity. The mirror features a fun monorail design and inside the toilet room is artwork featuring Jack-Jack.
Outside of the bathroom you’ll see the closet. The doors are a vibrant red and when you open them you’ll find plenty of space to hang your clothes alongside the Incredibles’ super suits! There’s also a space for your luggage and a set of drawers. Next to the closet is the drink area. There is an ice bucket along with a Keurig coffee maker. Inside the top drawer you’ll find coffee cups, coffee pods, sugar, and creamer.
This room was able to sleep 5 guests. There were 2 queen beds, each with a character pillow, and a couch that folded into a daybed. The beds are elevated to provide storage underneath. They also feature white bedding with gray headboards. Between the beds is a nightstand. Even if you don’t plan to store anything in the drawer, be sure to open it! Inside you’ll see a to-do list, a familiar math book, cookie crumbles, sunglasses, and a very special remote!
Opposite of the beds is a red couch, TV, table, and lamp. The lamp is a cool futuristic looking piece and the table has a very modern look. As we said previously, the couch folds down into a daybed for a 5th guest which is great for larger groups.
To complete our tour of The Incredibles themed rooms, we can’t help but swoon over the view from the balcony! Perfect view of Cinderella Castle and Space Mountain in Magic Kingdom! You can’t beat that view.

Disney is the largest wish granter in the world for Make-A-Wish, having made nearly 150,000 wishes come true from all parts of the company, including across the parks, resorts and cruise ships. In fact, Disneyland resort was part of the first official wish Make-A-Wish granted, beginning a shared journey of bringing joy to children and families who need it most for years to come.
“We know the power of the Disney brand when it comes to evoking positive emotions,” said Chairman of Disney Parks, Experiences and Products, Josh D’Amaro, who is a board member for Make-A-Wish America. “And we take great pride in the fact that we have granted 150,000 wishes with Make-A-Wish since 1981.”
Just in time for World Wish Day, which celebrates the anniversary of the wish that inspired the founding of Make-A-Wish, we are proud to honor this longtime relationship with a special window dedication at Disneyland park, with three windows on Main Street, U.S.A.
Marking the first time in Disneyland park’s history that a window on Main Street, U.S.A., has been dedicated to a non-profit organization, the three windows include a center window dedicated to Make-A-Wish and all the wish kids past, present and future; and side windows honoring Chris Greicius, the wish that inspired the creation of Make-A-Wish, and Frank “Bopsy” Salazar, the first official wish granted by Make-A-Wish (and the first Disney wish).
The window dedication ceremony included remarks from Disneyland Resort President Ken Potrock, Make-A-Wish America President and CEO Leslie Motter and Chairman of Disney Parks, Experiences and Products, Josh D’Amaro.
“Since we began partnering with Make-A-Wish in 1980, wish granting has been in our DNA. At every level across the company, Disney cast members are passionate about working with Make-A-Wish to create hope, happiness and make dreams come true,” said Potrock. “Today, we are thrilled to celebrate our relationship with the very first window dedicated to an organization at Disneyland in honor of all Wish kids – past, present and future.”
Also present at the window dedication ceremony were six children on their official wish visits to Disneyland Resort, as well as the mothers of Chris and Bopsy, whose sons continue to inspire these children and thousands more all over the world.
The three new windows can be found above the Wish Lounge, which serves as a calming respite in Disneyland park for wish kids and their families during their visits to the resort. In addition to designing the windows, Walt Disney Imagineering worked with artists from Walt Disney Animation Studios to bring to life this incredible wish lounge inspired by the visual style and characters from Disney Animation’s upcoming animated film, “Wish,” releasing November 2023.
Disneyland park’s time-honored tradition of window dedications to individuals who impacted the course of the resort’s history is highly cherished by cast members and guests alike. The addition of these three special windows will continue to help tell the stories of people who’ve left a legacy at the Disneyland Resort, and Disney is honored to forever highlight Chris, Bopsy and the wish children of the world.

This Olaf set is so cute! It features our favorite snowman dressed as different Disney characters like Rapunzel, Simba, Ursula and Moana. The pins are inspired in the shorts of Olaf doing a recap of famous Disney movies, so cute!
This one is inspired in Big Hero 6! One scene shows Baymax with a fluffy kitty on his head and the other him trying to figure out stairs.
Kuzco is enjoying his royal status on the first scene and then Kuzco in his llama form with Yzma!
If you love the Genie from Aladdin then this pin is a must have in your collection!
Ralph and Vanellope are shown in the first scene and then we find Ralph having a rough time on the second scene.
We are not exactly sure what is going on in this scene but it features Beast and Belle laying on the floor and Stitch behind them, maybe the naughty experiment 626 crashed in the ballroom unexpectedly while they were having a romantic moment. Definitely a very unique pin to add to your collection!
