New Details Revealed for Disney Cruise Line Silver Anniversary at Sea Fireworks

As part of the Silver Anniversary at Sea celebration this summer, guests are invited to partake in new offerings across the Disney Cruise Line fleet. Guests will be able to meet favorite Disney Characters dressed in new, shimmering outfits, enjoy festive décor, limited-time food and beverage and more.

As a reminder, the 25th anniversary fireworks show will be featured on most 4-night or longer sailings visiting The Bahamas, Caribbean and the Mediterranean this summer. Seamails are being sent to guests on select Silver Anniversary at Sea itineraries with more information about their sailing’s entertainment offerings. Guests sailing on Silver Anniversary at Sea Sailings aboard the Disney Fantasy and Disney Magic will not be receiving Seamails.

Sailings receiving these Seamails include:

3-night Silver Anniversary at Sea Sailings aboard the Disney Wish : The fireworks presentation during 3-night cruises will be our popular Pirate’s Night fireworks, weather permitting.
4-Night Disney Wish Sailing Departing July 3: This sailing will feature two fireworks presentations, weather permitting. Instead of the 25^th Anniversary themed fireworks, this sailing will feature our July 4^thfireworks and our popular Pirate’s Night fireworks.
4-night Silver Anniversary at Sea Sailings aboard the Disney Wish Departing June 12, June 26, July 24 and Aug. 7: The fireworks presentation on these sailings will be our popular Pirate’s Night fireworks, weather permitting. Due to the speed and location of the ship on the other evenings, we are unable to present a second set of fireworks.
4-night Silver Anniversary at Sea Sailings aboard the Disney Dream Departing Aug. 26 and Aug. 30: The fireworks presentation on these sailings will be our Silver Anniversary Fireworks at Sea presentation, weather permitting. Due to the speed and location of the ship on the other evenings, we are unable to present a second set of fireworks.
Alaska Silver Anniversary at Sea Sailings aboard the Disney Wonder: Fireworks are not offered on Alaskan cruises. During Alaska sailings, Freezing the Night Away with Anna, Elsa, and Friends deck party will be presented instead of pirate night fireworks and 25 anniversary fireworks.
Select Disney Dream Silver Anniversary at Sea Sailings: Due to the speed and location of the ship, fireworks are not offered on select European cruises.

Disney Celebrates the 150+ Facilitators at Traditions Orientation Experience

Disney recently celebrated 150+ facilitators that bring the Traditions orientation experience to life for new cast members.

The history of the Disney Traditions program dates back to the opening of Disneyland park when Walt Disney himself approved the development of orientation for new employees, which still serves as a strong foundation today. The program covers everything from Disney basics, history and heritage, to providing exemplary guest service and ways to create happiness for guests. And is facilitated in multiple languages by cast in various roles, levels and work locations.

Disney recently celebrated 150+ facilitators who joined the talented team that continues to bring the Traditions program to life by creating unforgettable experiences and magical moments for the newest cast, crew, and imagineers.

Disney Traditions

While many aspects of the Disney Traditions program are a well-kept secret, the program brings people together and sets cast members up for success in their roles, now and in the future, in a fun and uniquely Disney way. From our facilitators sharing experiences to help our cast better navigate their roles to visiting the parks to learn how to create magic, the program bonds our new hires together and teaches them what it means to be a Disney cast member. 

“I met so many amazing people during my Disney Traditions experience that it led me to want to become a facilitator myself,” Luis Alonso, guest experience manager at Walt Disney World said. “I really enjoy being able to connect with our newly hired cast members and teach them about our company and culture while experiencing a little magic along the way.” 

The Disney Traditions program isn’t just an ordinary onboarding program. From the high-energy facilitators to a dynamic learning environment, cast members are encouraged to be their authentic selves and discover new things about themselves that they can bring to a unique role in creating happiness every day. 

By the end of each Disney Traditions class, each cast member earns a well-deserved nametag and is ready to continue to learn and develop their skills as they begin their incredible Disney career and experience of a lifetime.

Disney World Accident & Injury Report for First Quarter of 2023

Disney World Accident & Injury Report for First Quarter of 2023

The Disney World accident & injury report has been released for the first quarter of 2023. Four incidents were reported at Disney World.

The first incident happened in January. A 75-year-old female reported experiencing cardiac symptoms while on Pirates of the Caribbean.

Two incidents happened in February. In early February a 72-year-old male guest with a preexisting condition had stroke-like symptoms after experiencing Kilimanjaro Safaris in Disney’s Animal Kingdom.

At the end of February a 72-year-old female guest felt disoriented after exiting Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance in Disney’s Hollywood Studios.

The final incident happened in March when a 67-year-old female guest fell when entering the ride vehicle on The Seas with Nemo & Friends, fracturing her leg.

This quarter saw some of the lowest incidents at the parks in recent history.

New Live-Action The Little Mermaid Sand Sculpture in Disney Springs. The Disney Hype machine is in full force. You can tell when Disney is behind a movie and wants it to do well by seeing how many gizmos and gadgets a plenty they attach to the movie.

Disney’s The Little Mermaid is no different. Disney obviously believes in the movie as they have rolled out the so-called big guns for the release. With products in Walmart and Target, along with Hallmark stores, and every major retailer in Disney Springs selling something with The Little Mermaid on it.

One of the cutest and best products we have seen is being advertised with a beautiful sand sculpture in Disney Springs. Pandora has designed and sculpted a Little Mermaid sand castle right in the middle of the Town Center where you can see some of the newest charms, bracelets, necklaces and so much more. Check out some of the images below.

“The Little Mermaid” is the beloved story of Ariel, a beautiful and spirited young mermaid with a thirst for adventure. The youngest of King Triton’s daughters and the most defiant, Ariel longs to find out more about the world beyond the sea and, while visiting the surface, falls for the dashing Prince Eric. While mermaids are forbidden to interact with humans, Ariel must follow her heart. AMC Theaters in Disney Springs Decorated for Live-Action Little Mermaid. With special media previews happening on Wednesday and the movie premiering on Thursday here at the AMC24 in Disney Springs, AMC, and Disney Springs added steps and repeats, backdrops, and banners advertising Walt Disney Studio’s newest release, The Little Mermaid.

Disneyland Reveals New Details on Pixar Place Hotel Transformation in Disneyland

Disney’s Paradise Pier Hotel at Disneyland Resort is undergoing a transformation to Pixar Place Hotel – which, when completed, will be the first fully Pixar-themed hotel in the United States. Disney has shared some new details coming to the reimagined hotel!

This 15-story high-rise hotel overlooks Disney California Adventure park. You may have already noticed the hotel’s exterior has a bright new look! While Disney’s Paradise Pier Hotel continues to welcome guests during this transition, Disney has shared a colorful glimpse of what Pixar Place Hotel will look like in the future once the transformation is finished this winter.

The lobby will continue to evolve over the next few months and will begin to blend beloved Pixar imagery with the hotel’s contemporary setting. When the transformation is complete, iconic images from Pixar films will be at the front desk, with characters pictured larger than life in curated artwork.

This winter, as guests enter the hotel lobby, they will be greeted by the Pixar Lamp playfully balancing atop its ball! A whimsical, colorful character-inspired mobile will hang above, welcoming guests to the new, reimagined lobby atrium.

Later this summer, overnight guests can splish and splash at an all-new water play area inspired by “Finding Nemo” where the fan-favorite fish and his friends frolic alongside families. See Crush the sea turtle atop a 186-foot-long waterslide, Hank hanging out at the pop-jet splash pad and more!

Family Play Court Coming to Pixar Place Hotel at Disneyland Resort

Later this year, a family play court will be added to the deck with activities inspired by Pixar’s famous short films. Interactive games and imaginative free play celebrate favorite friends from “La Luna,” “Bao,” “For the Birds,” and “Burrow.” And when it’s time to relax, guests may enjoy food and drinks under the love-struck umbrellas from “The Blue Umbrella.”

By night, the pool deck is the ideal spot to take in amazing views of the Disneyland park fireworks, and lounge by cozy character-inspired firepits with family and friends.

This fall, the hotel will unveil a new restaurant at the resort, Great Maple. This Southern California-based modern American eatery specializes in playful takes on upscale comfort food. Serving breakfast, lunch and dinner all day, the ground-floor restaurant will be easily accessible to hotel guests, local diners and theme park goers!

Signature dishes to start dreaming about? For me, it’s the Buttermilk Fried Chicken & Maple Bacon Doughnuts, the Cajun Shrimp & Cheddar Biscuit Benedict, and the Soda Pop-Braised Baby Back Ribs! Great Maple will also have a full bar including beer, wine and cocktails.

Great Maple’s culinary creativity will abound throughout the hotel, offering food and beverage service at the pool, as well as a new grab ‘n’ go coffee shop and café near the lobby, and eventually at the hotel’s new concierge lounge.

During the refurbishments of Disney’s Paradise Pier Hotel, overnight guests with valid park tickets and reservations can still enjoy the great benefits of staying on property at the Disneyland Resort such as early park entry to enjoy select attractions and a special entrance to Disney California Adventure park, along with close proximity to Disneyland park and the Downtown Disney District.

New Disney100 Statues, Plates And More Available At Disney Springs!

Take a piece of the 100 years of wonder celebration home with the Disney100 statues, plates, stationary and more available at Disney Springs! Every piece is gorgeous and will add a magical touch to any area of your home.

Imagine this Cinderella castle statue in your home, it will look stunning! It features a blue/ purple base with the celebration logo and the castle covered in shiny gemstones making it extra sparkly, so cute!

There are also different figures to add to your home like a Mickey & Minnie kissing statue with the 100 logo on the back and a white base with beloved character silhouettes and 100 years of wonder quote.

Other figures include a black and white Minnie Mouse statue forming a hear with her hands and the same but in red and yellow colors.

If you prefer kitchen pieces, these plates and mugs in black and white featuring Mickey and Minnie, the celebration logo and details with hidden Mickeys all around are a great option! You can either use them for your meals or have them on display.

Disney CEO Bob Iger Rejected Retheming & Day Trip Ideas for Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser

Iger reportedly rejected ideas to alter the function of Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser, instead opting to shutter the attraction

Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser, the ambitious experience that transported guests into the immersive world of Star Wars, is closing in September of this year. According to reporting by The Wrap, Disney CEO Bob Iger rejected ideas to retheme or add different options to the Galactic Starcruiser experience, opting to shutter it instead.

One of the rejected ideas was a potential retheming of the Starcruiser experience to accommodate different franchises or intellectual properties such as “The Mandalorian.” The thought was the extreme popularity of the adventures of Mando and Grogu could potentially increase bookings.

Another rejected idea was the concept of offering day trips to the Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser, rather than requiring guests to stay for the full duration of the experience. The proposal suggested that guests could visit the Starcruiser for a single day, similar to how visitors experience theme parks, with access provided to specific areas of the resort such as the gift shop and bar. The day trip option would obviously be counter to the 2-day immersive theme of the experience, but would potentially have allowed guests to experience Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser who found the cost of the 2-day excursion to be outside of their price range.

Universal Orlando Resorts Accident & Injury Report for 2023 Quarter 1 has been released

The Universal Orlando Accident and Injury report for the first quarter of 2023 has been released. The information is contained within the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) Exempt Facilities Report. The MOU Exempt Facilities Report includes information on accidents and injuries for Universal Orlando, Walt Disney World, Sea World, Busch Gardens, and Legoland.

According to the report, two events were logged for Universal Orlando Resort for Q1 2023:

64-year-old female complaining of a headache after riding Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit
47-year-old-male complaining of abdominal pain after riding Jurassic World VelociCoaster

Due to privacy-related concerns, updates to initial assessments of a patron’s condition are not collected and shared. The information contained within the report is submitted to the state by the theme parks and includes incidents that require hospitalization of 24 hours or more.

Universal Orlando provides first aid services at all three parks to ensure guest safety. The main Health Services Station at Universal Studios Florida can be found on Canal Street between the New York Street Set and the San Francisco Street Set, with an additional First Aid Station located at Family Services near the Studio Audience Center.

Over at Islands of Adventure, the main Health Services station is located in Sindbad’s Village within The Lost Continent with a first aid station located inside the Guest Services Lobby. At Volcano Bay, the First Aid Station is located next to the park entrance and is staffed with registered nurses and professional paramedics.
