MaDe Kiosks are no longer available at Big Top Souvenirs
Guests visiting Big Top Souvenirs at Magic Kingdom will note one familiar element is missing: the MaDe kiosks have been removed. You may recall seeing (or using) the kiosks which were previously integrated into circus train car-inspired merchandise displays near the store’s front entrance.
These kiosks allow guests to personalize various MaDe products in real-time. With the removal of the MaDe screens, the space has been repurposed to showcase a range of ear headbands and hats.
Although the real-time customization option has been removed from Big Top Souvenirs, a selection of pre-made MaDe merchandise remains available for purchase, including iPhone cases and magnets.
Guests interested in the MaDe kiosk experience can still find these stations at other locations within the resort. They are currently operational at the Dino Institute and Riverside Depot in Disney’s Animal Kingdom, Rock Around the Shop in Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and the Marketplace Co-op in Disney Springs.

Visitors to Magic Kingdom may have recently noticed that Columbia Harbour House, one of the park’s iconic dining spots, has been undergoing some noticeable changes. The quaint restaurant, which is situated between Fantasyland and Liberty Square, is currently cloaked in construction scrim and scaffolding, signaling a significant refurbishment effort.
Construction began in September with scrim covering the side of Columbia Harbour House facing Fantasyland. This month, more construction barriers were added, extending from the Peter Pan’s Flight building to the restaurant’s doors. Past these doors, another wall directs guests towards a bridge near Memento Mori. The refurbishment appears to be aimed at updating the exterior facade of the building.
Despite the ongoing exterior refurbishments, hungry guests can still enjoy the restaurant’s offerings. Columbia Harbour House continues to welcome diners between 11 a.m. and 8 p.m. on most days. However, if you’re planning a visit during the Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party event nights, do note that the restaurant wraps up its services earlier, at 4:45 p.m.
The menu at Columbia Harbour House boasts New England-inspired dishes, including a creamy Lobster Roll and mouth-watering New England Shrimp Boil. If you’re in the mood for sides that go beyond the usual French fries, the restaurant offers clam chowder, crisp green beans, delicious hushpuppies, and rice.

Gutenberg The Musical brings Disney Legend Josh Gad Back to Broadway
Josh Gad and Andrew Rannells have returned to the Broadway stage, reuniting the original stars of The Book of Mormon for Gutenberg: The Musical. This uproarious new production narrates the heartwarming tale of Bud and Doug, two inseparable friends collaborating on a show because “they just love each other so damn much.”
You can catch this delightful performance at the James Earl Jones Theater in New York City until January 28, 2024. One of the show’s standout features is its surprise guest appearances during the final scene, where prominent figures like Nathan Lane, John Stamos, Leslie Odom Jr., Ben Platt, or Steve Gutenberg randomly step in to portray the producer helping Bud and Doug “eat their dreams.”
The play unfolds as an audition for potential backers, led by Bud Davenport and Doug Simon, who are the creative minds behind a musical centered on Johannes Gutenberg. They aim to secure the interest of producers willing to bring their production to the Broadway stage.
However, as these aspiring but minimally talented dreamers lack a full cast and orchestra, they assume all the character roles themselves, donning hats featuring character names and frequently switching headgear to portray different roles. In this resourceful performance, minimal props like a cardboard box, pencils, and a solitary chair are ingeniously employed.
Given the dearth of historical information on Gutenberg’s life, Bud and Doug opt for a historical fiction approach, which essentially involves inventing details since their research, largely consists of a cursory Google search, which yielded minimal information.
Placing their narrative within the fictional locale of Schlimmer, against the backdrop of set designer Scott Pask’s vibrant mishmash set, the two aspiring playwrights have reimagined Gutenberg as a vintner (winemaker) by profession. In an imaginative twist, the play introduces a fictional clash between the inventor’s aspiration to promote literacy among the townsfolk and the power-hungry ambitions of a deranged monk, who seeks to maintain control over biblical interpretation for his medieval agenda.
As the performance unfolds, it takes on a charmingly unpredictable quality, feeling like a gorgeously improvised spectacle that spontaneously materializes right before the audience’s eyes. The antics of Bud and Doug, with their multiple role transitions and clever use of minimal props, inject an element of delightful chaos into the show.
The audience is treated to an experience that seems both meticulously planned and whimsically spontaneous, creating a sense of wonder and surprise that keeps them on the edge of their seats. It’s a testament to the talent and creative genius of the actors, who seamlessly blend their roles and craft an unforgettable and unique theatrical experience.

Disney Enchantment Returning to Magic Kingdom in January 2024
The magical firework show “Enchantment,” originally created for Magic Kingdom’s 50th-anniversary celebration, is set to return as a special feature in 2024. However, there’s a twist to its comeback – the show will exclusively be part of Disney After Hours events at Magic Kingdom. During these event nights, early-bird attendees will have the unique opportunity to witness not just one, but two spectacular firework shows. “Happily Ever After” and “Enchantment” will both light up the skies, providing an unforgettable experience for Disney enthusiasts.
This exciting development offers a fresh and enchanting way to enjoy the Magic Kingdom, with the added bonus of fewer crowds during Disney After Hours events. The design of the Haunted Mansion Parlor draws inspiration from first-class drawing rooms on classic cruise liners of the golden age, infusing elements from the original Haunted Mansion with a captivating nautical twist. From iconic purple wallpaper framed by wooden finishes to a mantel clock adorning an inviting fireplace and a distinctive purple armchair nestled in the corner, the lounge pays homage to Disney Park attractions. At the Haunted Mansion Parlor, guests will sample from a selection of ghostly cocktails that capture the spirit of the famed theme park attraction, The Haunted Mansion.
Blood orange and sour cherry flavors will harmonize in a shimmering zero-proof cocktail served in a specialty mug aptly titled, Sympathetic Libations.
The Ghoulish Delight will be an ube-flavored treat that everyone will be able to enjoy. The drink, with hints of sweetness and nuttiness, will incorporate decadent ube fudge, oat milk, and tapioca pearls in a purple concoction garnished with a gummy eyeball and ube glitter.

The Haunted Mansion Parlor Music Box will be a keepsake inspired by the eerie music box that will play a melodic soundtrack inside the Haunted Mansion Parlor. As the rumors go, this mysterious box belonged to the captain’s bride-to- be and only open in the presence of malevolent spirits.
Honoring the memorable grandfather clock seen in the original Disney Parks attraction, the Haunted Parlor Mantle Clock will loom over the fireplace inside the venue, instigating mysterious happenings when it strikes 13. As a part of the new merchandise collection, Disney Cruise Line guests will be able to bring home their very own mantle clock, just like the one from the parlor.
Featuring the same octopus design from the bar’s entrance onboard the Disney Treasure, the Haunted Mansion Parlor Sculpted Mug will depict an aura of intrigue and will be accented with a variety of sea life, including a hidden Mickey Mouse-shaped barnacle.
The Haunted Mansion Parlor Mirror will allow guests to take home a piece of the magic, offering a ghoulish surprise to unsuspecting users when the hitchhiking ghosts mysteriously appear.

Disney After Hours Events Returning in January 2024 to Walt Disney World
Attention night owls! Prepare for the return of Disney After Hours events at Walt Disney World Resort, offering a plethora of late-night delights. The magic kicks off on Jan. 10 at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, followed by Jan. 11 at Magic Kingdom Park, and Feb. 2 at EPCOT.

A standby queue is planned for TRON Lightcycle / Run only during these events.
The nighttime fireworks spectacular, “Enchantment” will return exclusively to Disney After Hours events at Magic Kingdom Park – meaning on event nights, early arrivals will have the opportunity to see both “Happily Ever After” and “Enchantment”!
After-Hours Event Dates at EPCOT
Welcomed by the colorful glow of Spaceship Earth, you can delight in EPCOT at night with favorite attractions including Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind, Test Track, Soarin’ and Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure. Events at EPCOT will take place on select nights starting Feb. 2 through April 4, 2024.
Disney After Hours Event Tickets Information
Booked guests of Walt Disney World Resort hotels, Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Hotels, and Shades of Green can purchase tickets starting Nov. 7, 2023, by calling 407-W-Disney. Event tickets can be purchased online by all guests starting Nov. 14.
Disney After Hours ticket prices range from $155 to $175 (plus tax) for Magic Kingdom Park and Disney’s Hollywood Studios. EPCOT After Hours ticket pricing ranges from $149 to $159 (plus tax). Specially priced tickets are available for Annual Passholders and Disney Vacation Club members.

However, the latest collaboration announcement seems to surpass them all.
