Limited-Time “Elemental” Water Short Prior to “World of Color – ONE“ at Disneyland Park

“World of Color – ONE“ utilizes a breathtaking blend of dancing water and incredible special effects to bring to spectacular life moments from favorite films including The Lion King, Moana, Ratatouille, Soul, Star Wars, The Avengers and more. Beginning June 2, 2023, for a limited time, a new water short titled “Elemental Connection” highlighting the story and characters from Disney and Pixar’s latest film, “Elemental,” will be presented ahead of “World of Color — ONE” in Disney California Adventure park.

As whimsical fountains and powerful music fill Paradise Bay, you’ll see that stepping out of your element may help you uncover who you really are, just like Ember and Wade.

Toy Story Land at Disney’s Hollywood Studios

At Disney’s Hollywood Studios in Walt Disney World Resort, visitors can shrink down to the size of a toy and join Woody, Buzz, and the rest of the gang in Toy Story Land. This whimsical area immerses guests in the beloved Toy Story universe, with attractions like Slinky Dog Dash, Alien Swirling Saucers, and Toy Story Mania! There’s also Woody’s Lunch Box, a quick-service dining location that serves up delightful treats inspired by Andy’s favorite toys.

Pixar Day at Sea on the Disney Fantasy, Disney Cruise Line

Disney Cruise Line guests can get in on the Pixar celebration via the Pixar Day at Sea, available on the Disney Fantasy. Pixar Day at Sea debuted in January 2023 and features one-of-a-kind entertainment that brings to life the beloved tales of Disney and Pixar’s “Toy Story,” “Monsters, Inc.,” “The Incredibles,” “Finding Nemo” and more.

Pixar Day at Sea will be offered on nine seven-night Caribbean cruises in 2024 aboard the Disney Fantasy sailing from Port Canaveral, Florida. Departing Jan. 6, Jan. 20, Feb. 3, Feb. 17, and March 2, 2024, the eastern Caribbean itinerary includes Tortola, St. Thomas and Castaway Cay. Departing Jan. 13, Jan. 27, Feb. 10 and Feb. 24, 2024, the western Caribbean itinerary includes Cozumel, Mexico; George Town, Grand Cayman; Falmouth, Jamaica; and Disney’s private island in the Bahamas, Castaway Cay.

Worlds of Pixar and Disney Stars on Parade at Disneyland Paris

Asian Small-Clawed Otters at Walt Disney World Resort

The smallest of all otters, the Asian small-clawed otter is found in shallow freshwater habitats across southeast Asia. They have an acute sense of smell and they communicate by rubbing their scent glands against rocks, trees, and stumps.

Disney animal care experts cater to the unique needs of these otters—recreating their freshwater habitats to help them feel at home and exhibit natural behaviors.

Here’s an inside look at the life of an otter at Disney’s Animal Kingdom theme park:

Tasty Treats: To encourage the use of their nimble paws, the otters are given mussels and clams to pry open. They also enjoy fish popsicles as a refreshing summertime snack.
Land-Lubbers: Asian small-clawed otters prefer to spend the majority of their time on land—climbing, hunting, playing and resting among rocks and burrows. Rocks and logs provide a great place to explore and climb—and they also serve as great scent-marking stations.
Naturally Talented: Through positive training techniques, Asian small-clawed otters learn to participate in their own medical care. Responding to the cue of an animal care expert, the otters present their hands and feet for examination, and they open their mouths for dental check-ups.

Plaza de la Familia, Cars-Land Halloween, and Monsters After Dark Returning to California Adventure this Fall. During our Halfway to Halloween celebration last month, we shared that the fan-favorite Oogie Boogie Bash – A Disney Halloween Party will return this year, and during Halloween Time.

At Disney California Adventure Park, three attractions will undergo seasonal transformations with Halloween spins – and drops. The family-friendly Mater’s Junkyard Jamboree in Cars Land and Luigi’s Rollickin’ Roadsters opt for happily hair-raising soundtracks to become Mater’s Graveyard JamBOOree and Luigi’s Honkin’ Haul-O-Ween. For the first time, resident “car-acter” Guido will sport a ghoulish “car-stume” as he welcomes guests to the Casa Della Tires.

As the afternoon winds down each day, the thrills go up at Guardians of the Galaxy – Mission: BREAKOUT! in Avengers Campus. The attraction transforms into Guardians of the Galaxy – Monsters After Dark, a scream-worthy adventure to save Groot from creatures running amok in The Collector’s Fortress.

From Sept. 8 through Nov. 1, Disney character-themed pumpkins will be hidden around the Downtown Disney District for Pluto’s Pumpkin Pursuit; with the purchase of a map from participating locations, you can commemorate your search with a collectible keepsake.* Downtown Disney District will also feature fall décor, entertainment, and special offerings from select locations.

Treat yourself! This year’s array of Halloween merchandise will include apparel, home décor, and collectibles with on-trend designs. Dining locations across the Disneyland Resort will serve up dozens of new and returning bites and beverages featuring fall flavors, like pumpkin fritters and a Halloween cake. Disney Eats will reveal all the fall fare closer to the season.

Plaza de la Familia and Tributes to Día de los Muertos

Honoring the Mexican traditions of Día de los Muertos (Day of the Dead), the vibrant Plaza de la Familia cultural experience will bring brilliant marigolds, heartwarming entertainment, and family crafts to Paradise Gardens in Disney California Adventure Park from Sept. 1 to Nov. 2. At Paradise Garden Grill, you’ll be able to feast on menu items inspired by Mexican cuisine.

Throughout the experience, characters and music from Disney and Pixar’s Academy Award-winning “Coco” highlight eternal love and the everlasting bonds of family. Several times per day, “A Musical Celebration of Coco” will present a talented company of Folklórico dancers, plus Mariachi singers and musicians, that recount Miguel’s adventure to the Land of the Dead. You can also meet Miguel, dance along to Mariachi music, add remembrance notes to the Memory Wall, and more.

As leaves begin to change color and the Halloween spirit creeps in, Disneyland Resort will revel in the arrival of fall with returning celebrations beginning Sept. 1, 2023 – featuring an assortment of fall fun and fare for family and friends.

Materializing Sept. 1-Oct. 31, 2023, Halloween Time at the Disneyland Resort will feature dozens of new and returning seasonal treats across the resort and debut bewitching outfits for Mickey Mouse and his pals at Disneyland Park. Haunted Mansion Holiday will continue its annual tradition with another deliciously diabolical gingerbread house on display in the ballroom.

Halloween Time at the Disneyland Resort

Spirited seasonal décor and characters dressed in Halloween looks will appear in both theme parks, presenting countless photo opportunities. The Main Street Pumpkin Festival brings a horde of hand-carved gourds to Main Street, U.S.A., at Disneyland Park, including the giant Mickey Mouse Pumpkin. At Disney California, Adventure Park, Halloween decorations and projections evoke an air of eeriness in Buena Vista Street. Plus, Cars Land becomes Radiator Screams, where the residents and establishments are decked out in their Haul-O-Ween best.

At Disneyland Park, Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse and some of their pals will cast a ghostly glow with new outfits made with luminescent fabrics and bat details. Jack Skellington and his friends from “Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas” will wreck the halls of Haunted Mansion Holiday once again. The attraction’s ballroom will showcase the latest rendition of the annual bespoke gingerbread house.

Each night through Oct. 31, the supernatural “Halloween Screams” nighttime spectacular will summon projections, special effects and music on Main Street, U.S.A., Sleeping Beauty Castle, Rivers of America and in front of “it’s a small world.” MagicBand+ adds another devious dimension to the show with ominous illuminations and shivering vibrations. On select nights, fireworks will conjure in the skies above. To make way for “Halloween Screams,” the nighttime spectacular “Wondrous Journeys” is scheduled to make its last performance of the year on Aug. 31.

Oogie Boogie Bash – A Disney Halloween Party Returns Starting on September 5th. We know you have been waiting for this news ever since Walt Disney World announced Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Bash. Now our friends on the left coast can join in on the Halloween Fun. Tickets go on sale starting June 27 for Magic Key Holders, and June 29th for the general public.

Oogie Boogie Bash – A Disney Halloween Party** will take over Disney California Adventure Park for more nights than ever before, bringing rare characters, villains, and spellbinding experiences on 25 select evenings between Sept. 5 and Oct. 31, 2023. Kids and trick-or-treaters of all ages are invited to wear their Halloween costumes for a wickedly fun evening of attractions (some of which have shorter wait times!), themed food and beverages, and more.

Admission to the after-hours event also includes entrance to Disney California Adventure Park three hours before the party begins and unlimited Disney PhotoPass digital photo downloads from the party.

With Treat trails and characters throughout the park, you may encounter new and familiar friends! Partygoers of all ages can also delight in unique offerings just for Oogie Boogie Bash, such as “Mickey’s Trick and Treat” show, the “Frightfully Fun Parade” led by the Headless Horseman of Sleepy Hollow, and the immersive Villains Grove.

Oogie Boogie Bash – A Disney Halloween Party Returns Starting on September 5th

Tickets will be sold to the general public on June 29 (no earlier than 9 a.m. PT). On June 27 (no earlier than 9 a.m. PT), a limited amount of Oogie Boogie Bash tickets go on pre-sale for Magic Key holders at Disneyland.com/OogieBoogieBash.

Tomorrow is the first day of Pride Month and Disney has an all-new Photo Op for guests in EPCOT!

In the past, we have seen these Pride Photo Ops at all of the Disney World Theme Parks & Disney Springs for Pride Month. We were just lucky to see this month before Pride Month officially starts on June 1st.

Cool off and take a break at this reserved space just for Disney World Annual Passholders! We had to the chance to drop by this new Annual Passholder Lounge just outside of Sunshine Seasons in the Land Pavilion for V.I.PASSHOLDER Days in EPCOT.
