Guests Now Able to Make Dining Reservations on Universal Orlando Resort App

Universal Orlando dining reservations are now available via the resorts app

The Universal Orlando Resort app is a handy addition to your mobile device that provides park hours, wait times, and information on dining available throughout the resort. Universal has added a new feature that has expanded the usefulness of the app: the ability to book dining reservations.

Universal has partnered with NexTable to provide the app based reservations, a “next generation, cloud based, reservation and table management system for the iPad.”

Guests interested in booking a dining reservation using the app will first need to navigate to their restaurant of choice in the app (currently, there is no central option to search for all available dining reservations within a specified day/time).

Clicking on dining reservation will prompt you to first select party size and then the date for which you would like to make the reservation.

The app will then present the available times for which a reservation is available, after which you will be asked to enter your contact information (unless you have already logged in).

The ability to book dining reservations via the app is a nice new feature for guests at Universal Orlando Resort, and certainly ups the usability of the app. Note the ability to book a reservation is only available for table service locations, and appears to only be available for locations that take the Universal Dining Plan (reservations for Bubba Gump Shrimp Co, for example, are not currently available via the app).

Disney Shares Sneak Peek at ‘Rogers: The Musical’ Coming Soon to California Adventure

‘Rogers: The Musical’ is coming to Disney California Adventure next week! Disney has shared a sneak peek behind the scenes look at the show.

The sneak peek video posted to YouTube showed the stage, rehearsals for the actors, and more. It also showed some of the sets for the show. Some of the sets shown include the bridge set from the “Rogers: The Musical” scenes in the “Hawkeye” Disney+ series, a USO hall, and Howard Stark’s lab where Steve received the super soldier serum.

The video also shows the actors rehearsing along with some of the costumes and props. A dark motorcycle jacket with silver striping along with Captain America’s iconic shield are shown.

‘Rogers: The Musical’ will be performed multiple times a day from June 30 through August 31, 2023.

The Sanderson Sisters won’t appear as you might expect. Minnie, Daisy, and Clarabelle have dressed up as the witch sisters just for Mickey’s “Boo-To-You” parade!

NEW Piña Colada Slushy at Energy Bytes in the Magic Kingdom. Yesterday we spent the day enjoying Disney’s Magic Kingdom. Making sure, as we always do, to ride Tron Lightcycle Run in Tomorrowland. Afterward, we stopped by Energy Bytes Quick Service and noticed a few things. First, they are no longer serving the dumplings, and second, they have a new slushy flavor.

“This new kiosk will be serving up some tasty eats and sips for you to grab, drawing inspiration from the futuristic environment around you. Whether you’re looking for some breakfast bites, savory snacks, sweet treats, or refreshing beverages, this new spot will soon become a go-to pitstop as you venture into the world of Tomorrowland.” Disney wrote about Energy Bytes when it opened.

A few months after opening we got to try the brand new Piña Colada Slushy – with Chipotle Pineapple, Matcha, and Poppin Candies.

Ours was missing the Poppin Candies, and Matcha was dry and not very pleasant. It gave the pineapple a very earthy flavor that did not belong in the slushy.

For those looking for a little sweet pick-me-up, Energy Bytes has you covered too. The Strawberry IceOform is the ultimate refreshing treat with the sweetness of the strawberry ice cream mochi, graham crackers, and even a little bit of cheesecake foam to finish it off. It not only looks beautiful but tastes great too!

Cilantro Urban Eatery Food Truck Returns to Disney Springs

The Cilantro Urban Eatery food truck has returned to Disney Springs at Walt Disney World! This food truck was previously at Disney Springs during the ‘Together We Are Magia’ celebration but will now be a regular offering.

The Cilantro Urban Eatery food truck is now located in the Exposition Park area, between Starbucks and the future location of Summer House on the Lake. The food truck announced on their Instagram page that they’ll now be open daily at Disney Springs.

Here’s the posted menu:

Pabellon-Ropa Vieja – $16: Venezualan national dish. Shredded flank steak braised in tomato juice, onions and peppers with white rice, black beans and sweet plantains.
The Sandwich Cubano – $15: Mojo roasted pork-lechon, ham, swiss cheese, sweet pickles, mustard on pressed Cuban bread, with plantain chips and cilantro-avocado mayo dip.
Arepa Encantada – $10: Two South American gluten free white corn cakes. Stuffed with mozzarella cheese and cilantro-avocado mayo dip.
Puerto-rrito! – $14: Marinated roasted pork-pernil, white rice, black beans, sweet plantains, chipotle mayo, wrapped and pressed inside a flour tortilla, with plantain chips and cilantro-avocado mayo.

Winnie the Pooh is Now Meeting Guests in EPCOT. Walt Disney World has made huge steps recently with character meet and greets. Especially in Epcot. With Disney Character-Palooza happening more frequently, rare characters like Pinocchio, Geppetto, and Gideon walk around in Italy pavilion.

Now our favorite Pooh Bear is not just catching butterflies in his garden, he is meeting and greeting guests. The honey-obsessed Winnie-the-Pooh was outside his gate recently interacting with guests. This is a piece of good news for all of us who enjoy meeting characters, instead of just waving to them from a distance.

Winnie-the-Pooh has only been seen in Epcot wandering around the garden located between The Land Pavilion and Journey Into Imagination Pavilion in the World Nature section. He would wave to people, and then with a net in his hands try to catch butterflies. Which was cute to watch, especially during Epcot’s Flower and Garden Festival. The Butterfly habitat was located in front of where Pooh Bear was walking around and you could glimpse a real butterfly near him.

New Figment Ear Headband To Let Your Imagination Soar!

Spark your style with this new Figment Ear Headband we found at Epcot for $34.99. It’s so adorable and a must have in your collection!

The design is very different to past Figment ear headbands, this one features Figment’s face on one ear and the rest of his body on the other. The middle features his wings instead of the regular bow headbands usually have.

The material is also different, this one is more soft, almost like a plush. Very cute for sure!

Beautiful Magic Kingdom Starbucks Tumbler Available Now!

Every sip you take with this Magic Kingdom Starbucks Tumbler will be magical! We found this tumbler at The Emporium for $39.99 and to say we are obsessed with it is not enough, this has to be one of the best designs Starbucks and Disney have come up with in the last few years.

Let’s start with the beautiful light blue metallic color as a base and contrasting darker blue lid and straw. The design features the Magic Kingdom logo in the middle with Mickey Mouse below and a floral wreath featuring icons like Madame Leota tombstone, the Orange Bird, Big Thunder Mountain, Cinderella Castle, Tinker Bell, Dumbo, Mad Tea Party, Peter Pan’s Flight and more!
