A New Haunted Mansion Eyes Ear Headband Might Follow You Home!
Attention foolish mortals, a new Haunted Mansion Eyes Ear Headband just materialized at Magic Kingdom, and lets just say is eye grabbing! You can also get yours online at shopDisney for $34.99.
It features an all over pattern of Haunted Mansion characters like Madame Leota, Hatbox Ghost, Constance Hatchaway, Pickwick, the butler and the maid plus the Haunted Mansion entrance. It also says ”Welcome Foolish, Mortals,” on one ear.
The headband is plain black on the back and features the iconic Haunted Mansion eyes in the middle on both sides. You can take a closer look at this ear headband in our Instagram post:
Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny’s box office numbers continue to drop
Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny continued to underperform in its second week. The film opened to 60 million domestically with a 295 million dollar production budget. Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny was supposed to be a huge moneymaking film for Lucasfilm and Disney as they bid farewell to Indiana Jones in the fifth and final installment.
Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny earned 25 million dollars over the weekend, marking a 58% drop-off from the first weekend. If you include the international receipts, “Crystal Skull” finished with 317 million dollars domestically and 473 million internationally for comparison. At this rate, Indiana Jones 5 won’t come anywhere close to those figures.
Lucasfilm and Disney have been hyping this film since last summer, and much to do was made of this being a huge sendoff for Harrison Ford as Indiana Jones. Given the effort and budget placed behind this film, Disney has to be disappointed with it’s performance. It is unlikely that Dial of Destiny will rebound as the schedule of summer films will only get more crowded.
Not all the news was bad over the weekend for Disney, as Pixar’s Elemental continued to chug along courtesy of excellent word of mouth. The animated film earned an additional 8.4 million dollars bringing its domestic total to 107 million. Elemental is performing well overseas and has earned an additional 142 million. Many thought Elemental would wind up a monumental flop after its initial weekend. Pixar was in desperate need of a box office win after Onward and Lightyear didn’t rack up the numbers and critical acclaim that we have come to expect from Pixar.

Grand Floridian Lobby Refurbishment Underway at Disney World
Refurbishment of the Grand Floridian Resort is underway at Walt Disney World!
The Grand Floridian Resort, an iconic destination within Walt Disney World, is currently undergoing a major overhaul that promises to elevate its enchanting ambiance to new heights. As guests enter the resort’s lobby, they’ll immediately notice signs of progress, with construction in full swing.
The lobby is buzzing with activity (not early in the mornings), featuring cranes elegantly positioned to facilitate the transformative changes taking place. Certain areas are blocked off, allowing construction crews to work diligently on enhancing the resort’s aesthetic appeal. Currently, the focus is on painting the ceiling, with meticulous attention to detail.
To maintain a harmonious atmosphere, vibrant greenery, and plants have been thoughtfully placed around the lobby, creating a pleasant environment amidst the construction efforts. While most of the lobby is temporarily taped off to facilitate the painting process around railings and other intricate elements, guests can still experience the charm of the Grand Floridian Resort.
Alongside the lobby refurbishment, some of the resort’s rooms are also being updated with a whimsical Mary Poppins theme. This delightful addition will transport guests into the enchanting world of the beloved nanny, adding an extra touch of magic to their stay.
Though construction may temporarily alter the usual ambiance of the Grand Floridian Resort, it’s a small price to pay for the excitement and anticipation of the transformative changes underway.
So, if you’re planning a visit to Walt Disney World and have your heart set on staying at the Grand Floridian Resort, take note there is a large scale refurbishment underway.

Guests will be able to check out Canada Far & Wide during this year’s Food and Wine Festival at EPCOT
As the 2023 EPCOT International Food and Wine Festival approaches, visitors to the Canada Pavilion can rejoice in the knowledge that Canada Far & Wide will remain open. However, the same may not be true for the popular Appleseed Orchard. Uncertainties surrounding the availability of Appleseed Orchard this year have raised questions among festival-goers since Canada Far & Wide is currently not showing any downtime for the festival.
Previously, Appleseed Orchard was situated in the same space as Canada Far & Wide. However, with Canada Far & Wide currently set to continue its operations during the festival this year, it appears that Appleseed Orchard may not be making a return. This news comes as a disappointment to fans who eagerly anticipated indulging in the diverse range of culinary delights offered by the Orchard.
For those unfamiliar with the attraction, Canada Far & Wide is an immersive Circle-Vision 360 film within the Canada Pavilion that takes visitors on a virtual journey through Canada’s breathtaking landscapes and cultural heritage. While it remains open for the festival, guests can still enjoy the captivating film that showcases the essence of Canada.
BeaverTails returning to EPCOT for the 2023 International Food and Wine Festival
In related Canada pavilion news, BeaverTails, the beloved Canadian pastry company, is making a highly anticipated return to the EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival. Known for their mouthwatering pastries and unique toppings, BeaverTails are returning to the EPCOT at Food & Wine festival after being removed from the Canada pavilion 15 years ago.
Known for their iconic hand-stretched pastries, shaped like the tail of a beaver, BeaverTails offers a delightful culinary experience that combines familiar flavors with a touch of whimsy. For those unfamiliar with this culinary delight, the pastries are fried until golden brown, resulting in a crispy yet doughy texture that’s perfect for soaking up a variety of delicious toppings.
One of the reasons why BeaverTails have gained such popularity is the wide range of toppings and flavors available. From classic favorites like cinnamon and sugar to creative combinations like HAZEL AMOUR or BANANARAMA, visitors can indulge in a multitude of tempting options. If you have $24,000 to spare and love Disney, you might be interested in this Pluto Figure we spotted at Magic Kingdom! The piece of art is stunning and dazzling, it will definitely add some extra pixie dust to any room.
This is a replica of the hand crafted sculpture created by Gluseppe Armani for Arribas Brothers at the Walt Disney Parks and Resorts. Each piece is encrusted with 32, 398 hand set Austrian crystal stones in the pointiage technique, which takes over 225 hours to complete.
