Ride-Sharing Location Switched Sides in EPCOT. When leaving Epcot, make sure to pay attention to signage over the next few days. Especially if you are taking Uber or Lyft. No word right now if this included Minnie Van Services.
Leaving Epcot today we noticed Disney switched the pick-up and drop-off of the ride-share area. This is not going to be a very long-term switch, as construction continues on the new ride-share pick-up and drop-off. The new area is at the Eve Parking Lot.
A few weeks ago, we wrote about the new Eve Parking Lot that opened on the far side of the parking lot. For those who do not know, that lot is further down the walkway, past the old tram area, in front of the Guardians of the Galaxy Show building.
Preferred parking: car or motorcycle – $45 to $50 per day*
Standard parking: car or motorcycle – $25 per day
Oversized Vehicle Parking: Shuttle, Limo, Camper Trailer, RV, Bus or Tractor Trailer – $30 per day
Standard theme park parking is included for registered Guests of Disney Resort hotels and select Annual Passholders. These Guests can also choose to enjoy preferred parking by paying the difference in cost between their included standard parking and preferred parking (difference is currently $20 to $25 per day*).

Ryan Reynolds to Produce Biker Mice From Mars Series
Deadpool 3 star Ryan Reynolds is set to revive the 90’s animated show Biker Mice from Mars. Diehard fans will recall the show did return, albeit briefly in 2006. It has been almost three decades since the animated series ended, but that’s not stopping golden boy Ryan Reynolds from putting his usual signature touch on a piece of pop nostalgia.
The 90’s seem to be all the rage with a Teenage Mutant Ninjas Turtles animated project in the works from Nickelodeon. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem is releasing August 2 and has a all-star cast.
The official synopsis for the original Biker Mice From Mars: “On the planet Mars, there existed a race of anthropomorphic mice who enjoyed motorsports and had a very similar culture and society to that of human beings. Eventually, they were all but wiped out by the Plutarkians, an alien race of obese, foul-smelling, worm-eating, fish-like humanoids who plunder other planets for their natural resources.”
“Three survivors: Throttle, Modo and Vinnie, manage to find a spaceship and escape the Plutarkian takeover, but instead, they soon find themselves crash-landing on Earth in the city of Chicago. As the crescent moon illuminates the night sky, a remarkable sight unfolds on Florida’s beaches: loggerhead sea turtles emerging from the waves to nest. Dr. Mark Penning, Vice President of Disney’s Animals, Science & Environment recently shared some exciting news. The Disney Sea Turtle Conservation team has recorded a staggering 2,000 sea turtle nests so far in 2023, surpassing the average of 1,500 nests typically seen by this point in the year. This surge in turtle nesting is undoubtedly a cause for celebration, but it also raises questions about the exact factors contributing to this positive trend.
While the team is still investigating the exact drivers behind the increase in nesting, one thing is clear: it is a testament to the long-term conservation efforts taking place across Florida. The state’s loggerhead sea turtles play a crucial role in the global population, making up 40 percent of these majestic creatures. Unfortunately, other nesting aggregations worldwide have been declining due to various threats like fisheries bycatch, direct harvest, and the impacts of climate change.
This is where Disney’s sea turtle conservation program comes into play. Celebrating its 20th year at Vero Beach Resort this year, the program has achieved impressive milestones. Over the two decades, the Disney Conservation team has recorded more than 20,000 sea turtle nests on their survey route, resulting in an astounding 1.5 million sea turtle hatchlings taking their first steps toward the ocean.

Looks like BeaverTails will not be returning to EPCOT this year
Sad news BeaverTail fans; it looks like the beloved Canadian treat will not be making its triumphant return to EPCOT after being removed from the Canadian pavilion 15 years ago. BeaverTails have been removed from the 2023 International Food and Wine menu.
The treat had appeared on the Refreshment port menu but has since been removed. BeaverTails have not been added to any other menus for the festival, seemingly indicating they have been pulled rather than moved to a different location.

40 kids had their Disney wish come true as part of Make-A-Wish Canada’s 40th-anniversary celebration
On July 19th, Orlando International Airport experienced a heartwarming and enchanting event as it welcomed 40 wish kids and their families arriving with WestJet. Make-A-Wish Canada, in collaboration with Disney, had granted these children’s dreams to visit Walt Disney World in celebration of Make-A-Wish Canada’s 40th anniversary. The event was a testament to the power of kindness and the profound impact of wishes on children with critical illnesses.
As the 40 Wish kids and their families arrived at Orlando International Airport via WestJet, they were greeted with an outpouring of love and support from the airport staff and volunteers. Disney Shuts Down Production on Live-Action Lilo and Stitch Movie
The live-action Lilo and Stich film has shut down production joining other tentpole films like Deadpool 3, Gladiator 2, and the 8th Mission: Impossible. The SAG/AFTRA strike and WGA strikes have brought Hollywood productions to a standstill. Hollywood will continue to move forward with films that they have already shot, but any films currently in production will have to wait until the union has resolved negotiations with the Motion Picture Association.
Even cinematic juggernauts like Marvel Studios have been brought to their knees by the work stoppage. Marvel CEO Kevin Feige reached out to his staff saying, “We recognize how much you’ve all done on your specific projects and it’s disappointing when carefully laid plans have to shift, but constant change is the nature of the production business, and our teams are no stranger to unexpected challenges and rising to meet them.” Marvel will have to change its release schedule, and who knows if there will be any casualties of films as a result.
Hollywood may not be completely devoid of new IP, as work can potentially continue on animation, even on projects set to roll out in 2025 and beyond. One way around this is to have staff record voices to inform the animators and then return to work with SAG/AFTRA actors at a later date. Major animated films have yet to shift their release dates and remain largely unaffected by the strike.
Disney has not yet announced the updated release date for Lilo and Stitch. We will report on changes to this production and more should the strike continue for a prolonged period.
The music world mourns the loss of the legendary American singer, Tony Bennett, who peacefully passed away on Friday at the age of 96.
His publicist, Sylvia Weiner, confirmed the news to the Associated Press, stating that Bennett breathed his last in his beloved hometown of New York.
While the specific cause of his passing has not been disclosed, it is important to note that Bennett had been bravely battling Alzheimer’s disease since his diagnosis in 2016, and his health had been gradually declining in recent years.
