Death Eaters Are Coming to Universal Orlando Resort

This autumn, a foreboding presence makes its way back to The Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Universal Orlando Resort. From September 1st to November 4th, an unprecedented spectacle unfolds as Death Eaters make their debut appearance in Diagon Alley.

A sense of eerie anticipation envelops Diagon Alley, as visitors come into contact with the malevolent Death Eaters—ardent devotees of Lord Voldemort, unafraid to wield the powers of the Dark Arts. This immersive live entertainment venture brings guests up-close with these zealous sorcerers as they traverse the streets of London, stealthily navigate the cobblestone paths of Knockturn Alley, and even dare guests to align themselves with the Dark Lord.

Also, while visiting Diagon Alley, guests can shop for a variety of Death Eater-themed merchandise to embrace their sinister side.

The Little Mermaid Returning to Theaters for Singalong Version

Venture back under the sea and singalong with The Little Mermaid

Fans of The Little Mermaid can head back under the sea, starting on August 25th, to check out a singalong version of the film. Collider reports the singalong version will be released in select theaters in the United States starting this month, with plans for an international release not yet announced.

For those unaware, a singalong version of a film typically includes lyrics that are displayed on the screen along with the film, inviting fans to sing along to their favorite songs. Big-screen karaoke like this has proven to be a huge hit for musical films. The singalong version will be the last chance for Disney to increase the film’s box office revenue, with the digital version of the already released and the film coming to Disney+ later next month.

The Little Mermaid initially struggled a bit at the box office, however, has grown in popularity and grossed over $560 million worldwide with a total budget of around $250 million. The Little Mermaid stars the immensely talented Halle Bailey as Ariel, Melissa McCarthy who provides an amazing performance as Ursula, Jonah Hauer-King as Prince Eric, Javier Bardem as King Triton, Daveed Diggs as Sebastian, Awkwafina as Scuttle, and Jessica Alexander as Vanessa.

Loki S1, WandaVision, The Mandalorian S1 & S2 Coming to 4K UHD and Blu-ray For The First Time!

The Walt Disney Company today announced a number of popular series from Marvel Studios and Lucasfilm will be available on Collector’s Edition 4K UHD and Blu-ray for fans to add to their movie collections, featuring Steelbook packaging, concept art cards and some never-before-seen bonus features.

The titles and dates announced are:

Marvel Studios’ Loki: The Complete First Season: September 26, 2023
Marvel Studios’ WandaVision: The Complete Series: November 28, 2023
Star Wars The Mandalorian: The Complete First Season: December 12, 2023
Star Wars The Mandalorian: The Complete Second Season: December 12, 2023

All four titles will be available to pre-order from August 28.

Each title will be available nationally on Blu-ray Steelbook with cohesive and collectible brand-new box art designed by popular artist Attila Szarka and collectible concept art cards.

Voice Actor Jim Cummings Sings Happy Birthday to Winnie the Pooh

In honor of Winnie the Pooh’s birthday on August 21st, Jim Cummings, the talented voice actor recognized for his roles as Winnie the Pooh, Tigger, and various other characters, took to social media to convey a unique birthday greeting.

In the video, a pair of plush toys depicting Pooh and Tigger are situated atop what seems to be a kitchen countertop. Before them, an array of cupcakes adorned with individual candles is displayed.

Following the melody, Cummings assumes the voice of Pooh, extending gratitude for the warm birthday greetings and expressing that they are all as delightful as honey.

Tokyo Disneyland has the Cutest Popcorn Buckets

Popcorn bucket collectors, you don’t want to miss the cutest popcorn buckets EVER! The Tokyo Disney Resort has some amazing popcorn buckets featuring some beloved Disney characters.

The DisneyEats Instagram account shared a look at some super cute popcorn buckets available at Tokyo Disneyland. One features Donald Duck as the bucket with his iconic had on the lid and Chip and Dale holding onto the carrying strap. Another one is shaped like a Minnie Mouse purse with an image of Minnie inside a boutique. One of the Minnie ears on the bag features the words, “Minnie loves Fashion”.

Three other popcorn buckets include a “hunny pot” bucket featuring Winnie the Pooh eating honey out of the bucket. Tigger can also be seen on the bucket. Another popcorn bucket features the ‘it’s a small world’ attraction façade including three dolls from the ride that appear to spin. And last, but not least, guests can get a ‘Zootopia’ themed popcorn bucket! Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde are on the lid while the bucket features a collage of images from the animated film.

Curtains Appear Around Former Vanellope Meet and Greet Location in EPCOT

The Vanellope meet and greet location in Epcot is now closed and curtains have appears around the area. The meet and greet is permanently closed as of August 19.

The location at the Imagination! Pavilion in Epcot used to look like the image above. Vanellope met guests in front of a cityscape background inspired by “Ralph Breaks the Internet.”

Black curtains now surround the meet and greet location.

All signs point to the new Figment meet and greet taking the place of the Vanellope meet and greet. Disney has only shared that the Figment meet and greet will arrive “this summer”.

Journey of Water Inspired by Moana Cast Member previews will run through late September

If you have been anxiously awaiting the opening of the new Journey of Water Inspired by Moana attraction at EPCOT, it looks like you will need to wait a little bit longer. Additional Cast Member previews of the attraction have been added through late September, which means the attraction will likely not open to guests before then.

Disney recently announced to cast members that additional previews of the attraction will be available from September 1 through September 22, leaving September 23 as the earliest date that the attraction will likely open to guests.

So far, we have not heard of additional previews for Annual Passholders, DVC Members, or D23 members will be conducted.
