The character statutes around Walt Disney World no longer bear the Disney World 50th Anniversary medallions.

The golden Fab 50 character collection statues installed as part of the 50th Anniversary Celebration are staying, but they look a little different now that the anniversary celebration has ended: Disney has removed the 50th-anniversary medallions from the statues.

All of the Fab 50 character collection statues will remain in place, but the medallions that celebrated the 50th anniversary have been removed.

Disney’s ‘Once Upon A Studio’ Short Premiering on ABC in October

Disney’s latest short film, titled “Once Upon a Studio,” is set to make its broadcast debut on ABC as part of “The Wonderful World of Disney: Disney’s 100th Anniversary Celebration!”

On October 15, 2023, at 8/7c, viewers can tune in to ABC to catch this special presentation.

Disney has also unveiled a new trailer for the short film, available for viewing below.

ABC is celebrating 100 years of Disney this fall with an evening of magical programming hosted by Kelly Ripa. ABC will begin the evening with an episode of “AFV,” followed by a lineup that will include exclusive moments featuring Kelly Ripa and sneak peeks at upcoming Disney projects. Featuring the broadcast world premieres of Walt Disney Animation’s new animated short film “Once Upon a Studio” and the beloved film “Encanto,” “The Wonderful World of Disney: Disney’s 100th Anniversary Celebration” airs SUNDAY, OCTOBER 15 (8:00 p.m. – 10:30 p.m. EDT/PDT).

An all-star ensemble of beloved characters from Walt Disney Animation Studios come together in “Once Upon a Studio” for a joyful, entertaining and emotional reunion as they assemble for a spectacular group photo to mark Disney’s 100th anniversary. New Walt The Dreamer Statue Merchandise Spotted At Epcot!

We found new Walt The Dreamer Statue Merchandise at Epcot during our recent visit. We are so excited to see this collection offering an ornament, pin and figure to bring home a piece of the magic.

Walt The Dreamer statue is coming to Epcot later this year and we can’t wait! In the meantime, you can get these nostalgic pieces available now home and start getting ready for this new milestone in the history of Epcot.

First, we found this ornament featuring Walt Disney sitting down on a bench contemplating his beloved Epcot. Walt features a bronze color to make it look exactly like the statue that will be the center point of Dreamers Point.

New McDonald’s Restaurant is coming to Disneyland Paris

In a significant development as part of the ongoing transformation of Disney Village, McDonald’s is set to construct a brand-new flagship restaurant by 2026. This move signifies an opportunity for the two iconic brands to strengthen their longstanding partnership.

Disneyland Paris and McDonald’s have jointly announced the forthcoming launch of a new McDonald’s restaurant in early 2026, situated within the heart of Europe’s premier tourist destination. Building upon the legacy of the restaurant that has been serving visitors since 1999, both McDonald’s and Disneyland Paris aim to offer an enhanced experience to their guests.

The construction of this new restaurant is scheduled to commence in September 2024 following a preparatory phase, with an anticipated opening in early 2026. During the construction period, the current and highly popular McDonald’s restaurant will continue to serve visitors until the new establishment, situated adjacent to the existing one, is ready to welcome guests. This innovative restaurant will feature a distinctive architectural design tailored exclusively for Disneyland Paris, aligning perfectly with the Disney Village transformation initiative initiated earlier this year. This program seeks to revitalize the guest experience by seamlessly integrating Disney’s expertise with engaging family-oriented concepts and a completely reimagined design. Additional details regarding this exciting project will be shared in due course.

Painting Underway for Finding Nemo in EPCOT Seagulls Still Missing

The Finding Nemo attraction in Epcot is currently being refurbished. The exterior of The Seas with Nemo & Friends Pavilion is being painted but some parts of the project aren’t complete. The seagulls are still missing from the outside of the attraction.

The paint on the exterior of The Seas with Nemo and Friends is being updated and isn’t quite finished yet. The water feature on the sign has also been turned off and it looks like the rocks have been scrubbed down. The seagull animatronics are still missing from the rocks.

This is just a small refurbishment compared to the rest of the work happening in Epcot.

Space 220 in Epcot is now offering new eats and drinks! The restaurant opened in Epcot two years ago and the new food and drinks are to celebrate that momentous occasion.

Beyonce Lion King Catsuit to be Auctioned off for Disney100 Celebration

As part of the Disney100 celebration, Beyonce’s Lion King catsuit she wore in the film Black is King is being auctioned off!

Fans around the globe will have the chance to bid on unique items and experiences inspired by each creator’s personal connection to Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars and 20th Century Studios’ stories and characters. The auction will run across 18 countries from October 12 until October 30, 2023 with funds from auction sales going to Make-A-Wish.

To commemorate this initiative, Disney is donating $1 million globally to Make-A-Wish to support the granting of life-changing wishes for children with critical illnesses.

All new Oswald Annual Passholder Magnet now available at EPCOT

As a WDW annual passholder, I can testify to how much passholders love their magnets. Another Disney-related creation many passholders hold near and dear to their hearts is Oswald the Lucky Rabbit. Disney is bringing these two together via the new Oswald Annual Passholder Magnet, now available at EPCOT!

The new magnet features the traditional Annual Passholder magnet design, with Oswald prominent displayed.

Details on the magnet from Disney: “In honor of #Disney100, the newest Passholder magnet will feature our favorite lucky rabbit, Oswald. Pick it up at EPCOT from Sep 20 – Oct 23 while supplies last.”

The magnet can be picked up by passholders at EPCOT in the Creations Shop. Passholders will need a valid Annual Pass as well as a photo ID to pick up their magnet.
